FFXIV: NEWFOUND ADVENTURE (Patch 6.1 Trailer Reaction & Thoughts)

Note #1: I did not watch the live letter before this. My thoughts/predictions are based on no prior knowledge, because I’ve been in the Lands Between for over a month and am not up to date with FF news.

Note #2: Sorry for the iffy voice audio; I boosted myself as much as I could but I’m recovering from losing my voice. Cracklyness may be the result of either!

  1. Myths of the Realm should be interesting because it starts with and involves the Students of Baldesion at the Annex. That means G’raha and maybe Krile will be involved in unraveling the mystery of the Twelve. From my knowledge of the gods, it seems we’re fighting the gods of the Heavens of Fire and Lightning. Also Byregot is my patron deity, so should be fun committing a blasphemy. The gear they showed off looked pretty good too.

  2. All the scenes with fourchenault are probably the new role quest one unlocks after having done all the other ew role quests.

I'm also not up to date with hildebrand, and I honestly dont know if I will ever do these quests. Its weird, I actually like the arr and hw hildebrand quests but I can't bring myself to complete the stormblood one.

  3. I set my expectation meter at "Ready For A New Adventure!"

The thing that confuses me about the trailer is that we seemingly are shown 4 distinct bosses from the alliance raid in the forms of 2 fire and 2 lightning deities of the Twelve, but we have always gotten 4 bosses per raid. I can't recall the last time they have ever spoiled the final boss, if ever. Fifth boss incoming, or some crazy phase transformation in the last fight?
