  1. I agree with your analyses. Technically they need to fit this class lore and gameplay wise. Thavnarian theme would be nice but we have dancer fitting this Indian style however that doesn’t mean anything. One classe that definitely fit this Thavnairian theme is Spellblade or Mysitic Knight from FF5 with the garb they wear it would be the best time to implement it has the guards of Radz-at-Han in my opinion. Your weapons research his nice too👌some of them could actually blend with Mystic Knight maybe

    Good job man

  2. I would say one of the maces or the Larger of the scythe because they specified in one of the interviews that the gear is shared by Dragoon. So It has to work for Maiming. Less speed, and more brute force.

  3. Interestingly enough, Zaghnals fall under the scythe weapon category in FFXI. Dark Knights, Warriors, and Beastmaster could use them. You accidentally fed into the scythe hype train lol.

  4. Personally, I still think the hints tend to be the most obvious answer with a bunch of red herrings, so I think the hint is rock bands, we've been seeing hammers and we know Geomancers exist, so I really think my guess is rock=Geo, band=bells and we already saw Geomancers with giant bells in Stormblood so I could see Geomancer with huge hunting horn style bells and hammers.

  5. Sorcerer from ffv has a middle eastern/arabian look to it. They wield swords (i could see scimitars) and imbue them with magic.
However i dont think i could see them in maiming armor which is what yoshi p said the new job would use

  6. I think another aspect you should have looked up is anything relating to death in India, based on Yoshi-P shirt with the reaper on it. Maybe there is some sort of Indian title or something that could be connected to one of those weapons.

  7. From a design perspective there's probably two main constraints on them: 1) Need for a weapon type and animations that match Maiming armor sets, 2) Need to be sufficiently different from DRG's spear/lance/poleaxe repertoire. I feel it's going to be a Guan Yu-style slashing glaive or some far-out thing we'd never guess a la the Nouliths, like a three section staff that transforms based on where you are in the combo(s), shifting into burst mode, etc.

  8. I'm surprised no mention of the Urumi not really any evidence in game or anything, but I always think about them for Indian weapons because they are so weird and unique!

  9. I want a pole/staff type weapon or a 2 handed hammer like Gaia uses in the Eden raid storyline. Really not feeling scythe and feel like it works better as a glamour for other classes

  10. its a scythe, stop the denial!

just like Zenos used a katana for when we got Samurai, that weapon next to his throne is so obviously a scythe. and if the whole shirt thing is anything to go off of, as it has been in the past, then it points to scythe even more. The Scythe seems like the perfect weapon/style for Zenos!

IF IM WRONG, RAMUH STRIKE ME DOWN!

  11. If it is a one-handed melee weapon class, the zaghnal might fit the bill, as we've seen a hint of the shape of some new weapon sitting against the throne that Zenos is occupying in the trailer. However it has been mentioned by SE that the DRG maiming gear is not shared by any other class and that was another hint that we'll be seeing some maiming weapon, so either a one-handed zaghnal or two-handed scythe are perhaps the closest guesses right now, unless they DO come up with something totally unique to FF14

  12. If this is what it'll be they've been hinting at the job since the revelation tomestone gear because the dragoon's 520 weapon looks pretty much a spikey mace more than a lance.

  13. tbh if it really is a mace like weapon, the classes could be anything lol. May be templar like some speculated, or even geomancer who canonly wields maces/axes. Geomancer seemed to be rather hot on the forums for some years now

  14. I say it could be the weapon from Sice in FF type zero cause of the one you show a pole similar to a Warhammer and a blade at the end so basically that Indian weapon you show in this video looks very similar to Sice weapon and Bozjan is reminds me a lot like type-0 stuff I can see that honestly be the weapon for the next Melee DPS class it make a lot of sense using maiming gear or it could be a berserker with a battle axe which could make up WAR being a dps as it should of in the first place but I guess makes a ok tank too… but yeah idk it just seems like its Sice Weapon I just a good vibe with that… I could be wrong, but I would love to have Sice weapon and using maiming gear 🙂 besides im replaying Dragoon again and gearing up cause imma excited whatever it is for the next melee dps job 🙂

  15. Personally think it is impossible to guess the actual class. They already said the 24 man raid is unique to endwalker, no collaboration.

If yoshi really wants to leave a legacy he has to add 1 unique class that will be carried over to future titles.

Yes he will be remembered for saving xiv, but that wont matter as much to future gamers that never touched xiv. But if they get into the class and look back at its origins it will point to him.
