  1. It's pretty cool to listen to this having gone thru 6.1 recently. I've always wonder how would Hydaelyn and the 12 fit together and now it makes sense. I can't believe how well the story of FFXIV is written. Even though all this was thought-out more than a decade ago, they continue to fit in neatly like a puzzle pieces.

  2. FF14 geography can get alittle confusing because its pretty accurate to how we name things in real life.
The entire planet is called "Hydaelyn"
There are 3 "great continents" called Aldenard, Othard, and Illsabard.
Aldenard is basically the main continent we play on. Uldah, Gridania, ishgard, ala mhigo. are all on Aldenard.
Limsa Lominsa is an island off the coast of Aldenard.
The name of Limsa + Aldenard is Eozrea.
Othard is the Far East. and includes hingashi (kugane island)
Illsabard is Garlemald plus a few other terrorities, including Thavnaria.
There are many smaller areas not associated with the "Great Continents" such as
Meracydia, the new world, old sharlayan. and more that are not spoken of as much in 14, but hinted at in the lore books.

  3. Hey Accolonn, I've been watching your videos for a while and I havn't honestly been able to catch a stream ever since finding your channel about a month ago. I didn't think you would have such an interest for the lore of FF and I'd be happy to drop by sometimes to help with any questions you have. I admit I finished MSQ and a lot of the side content and stories, but I don't intend to spoil anything regarding future plot points. Synodic does an awesome job with his videos and I would recommend wholeheartedly for you to check out more of them if you want to get more in-depth details on the jobs, the general story or the setting. ^-^
