The thing about Sirens was something I totally forgot about. You'd think that the sirens would seek to now preserve themselves at this point instead of risking total annihilation.
How good is it to be a Sharlayan student, isn't it guys ?
Who wants some Archon Loaf after class ?
where would auspices, or the amaro who gain speech from the first fall into all of this? they're animals given the ability to speak, but seto seems to indicate that he always thought on that level. and what about sign language? if a species could be taught sign language, would they count as spoken now?
I'm always happy to see your videos come up on Twitter or my sub feed! Today I learned that Someone tried to teach Eorzean to Opken, Sirens aren't voidsent like I had thought, and what helps define a spoken. Great use of that Chocobo comment!
Scribe: It's murder.
Emet-selch: Guess again!
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the thing about Ishgardians turning into dragons after drinking dragon's blood not limited to those who took Ratatoskr's. The old tales from the pre-ishgard era found in the Great Gubal Library tell of a boy who befriended a dragon. When he was mortally injured by bandits, the dragon gave their blood to the boy, transforming him into dragon kin, where he could fly away and live happy ever after. No doubt man and dragon exchanged vows and blood in the era of peace before the Dragonsong war. Even in the modern era dragons share their blood with those who would work with them. The 50-60 DRG quest has this. Those who took the blood of powerful dragons like the first brood may have the most powerful reactions, but the more mundane vows are all just as important.
Man may forget the friendship, promises, and vows they made with the dragons, twisted by war and propaganda. But their promise was so deep, it runs through their very veins, so the descendants of man may never truly escape the truth. Almost everyone in Ishgard has this promise in their veins, and all it takes to prove it is a vial of dragon blood.
