I really do like this quest, it gives us insight into the fiends before they became what they r when the flood of darkness happens, cause these creatures were once ppl only to be turned into twisted creatures that only fight or eat other living things in a never ending cycle where u can't truly die unless ur aether is absorbed
Well this is interesting seeing the aechfiend's original form….by the way if there was another war of the magi you are right that red mage would be Supreme with blue mage coming in 2nd
I love how they just snuck this one in at the end. When I saw the void sent during the msq cutscene, I was like wtf. I definitely missed the quest until someone pointed it out online the next day.
Were it not for the rating constraints, Barbariccia's tale would have been genuinely horrifying. As it is I found it rather unsettling. This may be a rather optimistic game, but those little hints of horror that lurk just beneath the surface makes me shudder wondering what it would be like if the team ever REALLY cut loose…
