A lot of people were already suspicious of the meol. The confirmation by Ryne solidified those doubts, but to a very disturbing degree. That also might explain Vauthry’s size due to him being part sin eater. They are ravenously hungry for the aether of living people and other creatures. I suspect it nourishes him far more greatly than other people. He’s so bloated because of all that eating and Lightwarden aether within him.
