  1. Aww I was kinda hoping to learn how they animated their guardians, but I did enjoy this glimpse into the history of Belah'Dia. I don't remember my history very well, but I wonder if there's any relation to the history of the White Mages of Amdapor and their golemancy to the Belah'Dians, or did the descendants of either the White Mages and Black Mages have something to do with those defenses. I went to review the lecture on the Sixth Astral era, and I am reminded how a lot of this is technically 'recent history', in that it was only some few hundred years ago compared to our modern Eorzea; like modern historians of earth looking back to the 19th century and not something as far back as the rise of Rome

  2. Sunken temple Qarn was nerfed twice back in the day. If I recall correctly killer bees and cats would make people quit and if that didn't do it final boss gave one hell of a Lazer show.

  3. Ah, the Sunken Temple of Qarn, it's the only sub-lvl50 dungeon in the game that I adore. The architecture, layout and mechanics make a run-through of Qarn (normal or hard) feel like a bit from Indiana Jones, it's so much fun! It was really cool seeing Qarn used as the backdrop for "The Griffin's" rally at the end of HVN, we don't get to see dungeons used for isolated scenes like that too often. (In fact… that's the only time in the MSQ where a dungeon is re-used in isolation for a scene. Huh… neat.)

  4. Love that from soft snuck in some bloodborne lore
    Wealthy ppl discover something ancient
Wealthy ppl begin to try to understand whats in front of em
Wealthy ppl ignore all of the red herrings in front of em
Said ignorance leads to horrible tragedies
Random ass person with plot armor saves the day

  5. Qarn, Qarn, Qarn. How I wish I could love this place but so many times me and my friends leveling 50 plus jobs and we're dragged there by the random person we get paired with who is also level 50. The first version is the duty I have seen the most so I'm so burnt out by it. And when I do get sent there for helping a person of the right level everyone rushes ahead leaving the healer behind and die or rapidly keeps killing the head stones before they push the buttons so we end up taking longer then if we took pull to pull not wall to wall. It is the only time lore is killed by players for me. Thankfully since getting all jobs to 80 in ShadowBringers and trusts I got all jobs to 90 without needing to return so I don't even know if the changes to ARR duties even changed this one. Now the level 50 that one is the reverse it is my least played 50 duty so it is a blank in my head. Beyond the story we're off to save a scholar unware the traps are on. I forgot looters triggered them behind her so yeah that feels sorta right only in the low level Qarn people avoid the loot even when the sprout tank really could use the gear from here. Also isn't this where your glamour comes from?

  6. Loving the dungeon lore series so far! It's been really cool delving into the lore of these places that honestly the quests kinda only scratch the surface of.

Bela'diah is intriguing, though I wonder if we might find some more stuff about it from the Sil'dih stuff coming up too
