It’s a Japanese dance forgot the name though it’s pretty iconic if you watch anime of the old japan
Not going to lie, the first thing that came to mind when I saw the image for this video was: “I wonder if we’ll get to see the dancing girls from the weaver quest in this.”
Admittedly, the first thing that came to mind when seeing the image for the dance was: “I hope to god that’s not the dance Hildibrand did during the Stormblood quest!” (For those in the know: the one he did while wearing makeup)
This is very solid though. That song is going to sound so cute in my FC coffeeshop.
The last time we had a dance reward was the Flame Dance back in 2020! It was my first summer event so I've really felt the lack of event dances since lol

I am a little perplexed we haven’t gotten any word yet on the 6.35 release date yet. It’s been 6 weeks since 6.3 dropped. So I figured we get an idea when 6.35 would be coming by now.

Love the "Event's" in game, but they are boring anymore. Why can't they add new stuff, make the quest longer, spices it up please….
Flamenco can use fans but so can traditional dances performed by Geisha and higher ranked entertainers in Japan -not sure what it will be based on that sole image, although I can’t think of flamenco dancers ever being in quite that position we see on the image?
Also, one of my alts looks exactly like the girl on the poster, down to the hairstyle and color

Passing strange about the picture. I'm pretty sure that was the splash art for the Valentione's Day art event with the little girl who couldn't really get out of bed and the post moogle(when we got the post moogle barding)since there was a big to do about writing to people. I could be wrong. Either way, its a lovely picture and I will add to my collection.
Worth noting (and probably well known but I'm still gonna say it) as well as needing to be lvl 15 to start and complete this quest, you will likely have to have completed up to and including 'It's probably Pirates' AKA your first dungeon, Sastasha. I ran into this issue with a last minute Valentione's attempt, only to be blocked out from getting the quest because I hadn't completed that quest yet, despite being level 15, so if you're doing this on alts make sure they've completed that quest first!!!
That music sounds like gridania 1.0? Its been ages but I recall it playing when I traveled through gridania or the shroud area during 1.0

It's Flamenco dancing. XD But this is a traditional Japanese Fan Dance, it looks like.
"Save yourself some money in the long run" depending on retainers and your sub type, it's actually cheaper to not sub to the game and just buy the seasonal rewards in the mogstation xD

Really interested to see what the actual dance animation for that is. It definitely seems likely to be a geiko/maiko style dance and, if so, I'm very excited. And the poster is great as well.
