  6. What a culinary travesty to keep tomatoes in a fridge. Cold temps ruin the flavor by causing deterioration in the various chemicals that give fresh tomatoes their flavor. One of the many many reasons fast food tomatoes have such shitty flavor and why many people believe they don't like tomatoes. NEVER put your tomatoes in a fridge folks! Buy only what you need and use them fresh and quickly! (Also, if you can grow them yourself, they're even better still. It's impossible to explain how much of a flavor difference there is between a true fresh tomato and what you buy in a grocery store.)
