I genuinely think that if the game had a UI feature to incentivize more activities, as was shown in the Moogle event, but for regular tomes the game would have a much better future. More like this please Square Enix. 🙂

Essentially i would want More like this, but for the normal content in the game.
The User Interface is Fantastic, the range of content this could reward is brilliant & Would help the game continue to be accessible into the future with expansion creep.
Put this for normal tomes, with a range of activities similar to the mog event, and you have a winner.
I think thats what the wonderous trials was suppose to be for. But it failed due to the nature of it
Well I'd like to post my feedback on the forums, but I can't because I got banned from the forums for "no reason given". There's a group of sickos on those forums who run people off the forums if they don't like what you say, and if you aren't goaded off by the harassment, they can will mass flag you until the shithead mods ban you.
So obviously Squeenix does not care about my opinion at all.
The achievements and mogpendium seems like a great incentive idea. However, I really hope they give more achievement items (glamour, minions, mounts, barding, etc) they should offer more items to purchase with those points.
I'm the kind of player that isn't subbed often. I've played since 1.0 but I tend to take long year+ breaks between sessions due to burnout, finding other interests, life obligations, etc… so for me it sucks to use the Roulette and in spite of being a great source of experience and tomes, I tend to not engage with it because when I do play this game, I play it hard. I unlock and run all the dungeons, all the trials, all the alliance raids, and all the regular raids, there are genuinely activities I haven't done in a decade that I just don't even remember existing, let alone doing, and nobody is gonna wait for me to find and watch a refresher video on YouTube to not be a burden on the team, so I tend to stay away from everything except the "Level X (in this case 90) dungeons" roulette because that contains only the stuff I went through since coming back so I know how to do it.
So basically from my perspective roulette definitely needs a rework. I don't know what the solution is because everything I can think of is kind of contrary to the reason it exists. But giving people incentive to do queue for individual activities is definitely a step in the right direction. I think if there were more rewards per-activity I'd definitely engage it that way more as I'd be able to look up guides on content I don't remember before queuing for it, or at the very least if the game sees I haven't ran a particular activity for over a year, maybe popup a little info screen of "hey, these are the key mechanics of the activity in case you forgot." Even that would make me more willing to come back to the roulette.
Want more of this, yis!
I have no reason to ever run roulettes/dungeons with hunt trains being 10x more efficient and far less aggrevating to deal with. I agree that they need to provide more motivation for ppl to run dungeons outside of these limited events.
I just want to know what they are doing with inventory management.. With another expansion coming, I'm always struggling with inventory space. Not only for crafting stuff, but I also like collecting glams. I want to know if there is an update for this.
I just wish they would remove all Extremes from Mentor roulette. Maybe then I would run it instead of getting Leviathan Extreme every time.
Mogpendium got me do my first ocean fishing, now I’m hooked
It would actually make that which is by now old content like the FATEs in Stormblood or older with unique prizes and such be more like old dungeons and raids. It would give new players a chance to earn the unique items/ingredients/coins the normal way instead of waiting for them to appear in Moogle Treasure Trove. Also this would give the players a chance to earn certain achievements possibly faster than normal and also possibly try out content that they thought they wouldn't before.
Take it a step further and add a section for the large-scale operation content like Eureka and Bozja/Zadnor to this as well!
They need to rework Wondrous Tails to be more like this.
I think it would be good to put the wonderous tails and the hunting log into the collection too and turn the shared fates into things like the mogpendium.
I can see the mogpendium as test balloon. If so it's very important to give feedback in-game. YES, there really is a feature to do just that System -> Support Desk -> Contact Us -> Leave a Suggestion,
I want gems added for older fates, even if they are different from bicored.
am i the only one that thinks this event gives really mild rewards at best? nothing to grind that is really worth the grind
they probably thinking a long time about this idea and that this is a test for us players and for the team to see how it looks like in the system. so that they might use it in dawntrail or later
The only recommendation I'd make at this point is for the Ultimog (or whatever it would be called in a version for the entire game) would be to give it more options. I get that you would want the reward system to push people into content they wouldn't normally do but if it's too restrictive it can just end up punishing people who don't even have that thing unlocked or legitimately don't like doing that one thing.
Manderville Relic grinding would be a little less mind numbing if it was like this lol
Big exp boosts would be a nice reward too, like with Wondrous Tails. It would make leveling the many jobs more interesting if you had something different to do each day or week that gave a big exp chunk.
Issue with adventurer in neef is it doesn't say the level so if its tank 85 any levels below can not help yet reap additional rewards.
Mogpodium all year round seems pretty pointless when its done for a week after 1 queue.
You got ct i got eden.
I agree I also believe that Main Scenario should be expanded to feature content that service as capstone moments in each expansions story. (I'm also of the opinion that maybe Castrum Meridianum,The Praetorium be made duty support only, but keeping the ultima weapon fight in the mix)
The Aetherochemical Research Facility/Baelsar's Wall (dungeons) – The Singularity Reactor/The Final Steps of Faith (trials) [level 60]
Ala Mhigo/The Ghimlyt Dark (dungeons) – The Royal Menagerie/Castrum Fluminis (trials) [level 70]
Amaurot/Paglth'an (dungeons) – The Dying Gasp/The Seat of Sacrifice (trials) [level 80]
for Dawntrail
The Dead Ends/The Lunar Subterrane (dungeons) – The Final Day/The Abyssal Fracture (trials) [level 90]
If they put all that effort into making a new menu ui, I am hopeful that they at least keep doing this for all future moogle events going forward. Would love to see this as a consistent thing in the game outside of events someday.
You mean like Wondrous Trials?
This system would make Rival Wing Highly viable without the use of Discord server scheduling
Ive noticed after playing for a few years that theres no way to see what theres actually to do in the game, without looking at patch notes or something outside the game, like wheres the content? Whats unlocked and available to me to do right now? Theres literally nothing in the game that tells you any of this for people who have no clue whats available.
Very agreed! I'm happy with this new event feature 😀
That’s Tremendously Awesome! Have A Great Week!
Add Bozja as means to not only level up but to get tomes.
Allow Bozja dungeons to be queued outside the instance.
Add experience + tomes to criterion dungeons.
Also. STOP GIMPING QUEST AND FATE EXPERIENCE.
SWTOR kinda does something like that, with different older areas and dungeons being featured in weeklies. I hope they expend on that in FFXIV, especially FATEs need to get more attractive, aside of the beginnign of the expansion there is rarely anyone doing these, leaving ppl who didn't farm their FATE ranks at the beginning behind.
I don't agree with you as presented here, but as you wrapped up a thought came to me that it would be great if some version of this was implemented where Duty FInder and Party FInder were more integrated. On Materia we make a lot of successful use of Party Finder to solve many of the problems you talk about here, but one of the problems with Party Finder is that it is hidden away – so making it easier to find and thus for people to look up people that need help earlier in the game would be a bonus.
