They all look awesome, especially the afro-centric ones. About time! Though, I do hope most of the chosen styles will have an alternative with no bangs.
Let me preface this by saying I want all of the hair here in game.
I just wish male character wise the haircuts weren’t all so damn similar. It’s a recurring problem I find with male characters in video games. The whimsy is almost always lacking.
Variations of a similar style is still an amazing treat so I genuinely cannot wait. Sad that they do say that even if you won the hairstyles might not be implemented which is a shame.
If you make 40 people win, implement them. You can’t have too many hairstyles in SE considering how many players of different taste you have.
Do you think they will implement the two part highlight (the one with the curtain tassels)? I hope so honestly.
It's all very pretty yes but, for every hairstyle made for male characters, there is more than two made for female.
On top of that, a significant amount of hairstyles currently available for male characters are just hand-me-down female hairstyles repurposed for male use which I don't necessarily mind; some players might want to make an androgynous character after-all.
It makes it so people like me who want to play as a cisgender male end up feeling like second class, lower tier players.
I honestly pray to God they add at least most of these, cuz they're BANGERS
i love that we get some curls and dreadlocks hairstyle this contest, females are getting some real diverse styles. The boys styles feel like K-Pop Idol though lol
and the style you called "Zenos style" to me screams "Every wealthy vampire characters ever", literally Alucard vibe lol
Love the Resistance haircut, it looks a lot like the haircut I had given the main character of the game I am remaking. In his remake, I was somewhat influenced to make him like my Gunbreaker, as the whole sword and gunplay fit well with the mechanics of the game.

I was hoping to see some more ponytail styles, but these are incredible! Hime Tchenji is especially adorable, makes me want hairstyles tied to glamour sets. I'm in the same camp as you WRT long hairstyles: I want more updos too to avoid clipping, but there are plenty of glams that avoid clipping issues with the Gold Saucer long hair and we're in desperate need of more variety.
In an effort to cover the side not being talked about as much, I'd like to see more of the masculine styles put in for the guys, rather than just stamping "unisex" on the feminine styles and throwing them at us. I may be Gay, but I would like more masculine hairstyles for my guys. heck, even the one covering the eyes wouldn't be a bad one. My main is a Hrothgar, and while I'm happy we're getting access to more styles as the game progresses, I've personally been rather disappointed about some of the selection – an example being the styles from the Island Sanctuary comes to mind. They're both really effeminate, SqEnix didn't even make one masc/one fem. YMMV, but it is kinda unfortunate for the players who want their dudes to look like dudes not really getting a say compared to all the guys playing dolly dress-up with their lalas and catgirls. Just my opinion.
damn I hope a lot of those long hairstyles gets implemented into the game cause they're so beautiful and we're in need of some long hairstyles lol

I am disappointed that there is never long hairstyles that win, and I am talking about actually long hairstyles that go until at least the waist. Clipping is not an excuse, because plenty of shorter hairstyles also clip.
personally i wish the tattoo glyph on the rebellion cut you could make it too for example Miqo'te Clan initials like my Miqo'te i made is from the zu clan and the initial is an S in front of his name so if you could get that custom by the barber would look super cool =D

I was certainly interested when this popped up, but I have no skills in the software that was required to put this together, so I'm genuinely pleased to see all of the entries for the skills that I lack!
Edit: When they showcased this competition I thought you literally had to make a 3-D model of the hairstyle you envisioned. I didn't know they were sketches too, otherwise I would have definitely tried my hand at this. 😅

Beautiful styles – added to many existing beautiful designs. That are borderline useless because they clip with equally beautiful glams. 😭

I love a lot of these, but they need to unlock the race specific hairstyles. I love a lot of au ra and hyur hairstyles but will never switch off miqo'te for long

Of all the entries and the winners, we can only get 1 black hairstyle? It’s frustrating to play a male character whose only options for black hair is Afro, buzz cut, or bald. At least allow us to have the female dread hairstyle.
