  1. I loved watching this panel. The amount of information they shared really opened my eyes on how much they are doing for 7.0 and the behind the scenes of how they made the different textures was fascinating!

  2. the only thing that makes me a bit sad with the graphical update is potentially losing glowing limbal rings from the Au Ra. While it isn't "realistic," I really do like that some colors glow brightly in dark areas. Maybe a new graphical setting that could apply a faint light/glow effect to certain bright/saturated colors could work? But either way, this is still incredible to see! Just hoping that my laptop will be able to handle the graphics, otherwise I'm going to have to upgrade to a new pc…

  3. My one concern with this update is that I play on PS4 Pro, and these look to be some compute-intensive features. I'm feeling I’ll need to get a PS5 (which I want to get, anyway) before the update to handle all this and not run at slide-show frame rates. Guess I have to start saving my pennies, now, if I want any hope of affording a PS5 by the time of 7.0.

  4. Tbh the thing I am most excited for is the update of textures of older armor. I have been a Drachen Mail stan since I first started when HW was current, I love the set to bits but I do feel the age of the texture whenever I hang out with friends or join a roulette and the gear they have just looks better. But with the update I will be able to be on par with everyone else and look badass whilest I slay dragons.

  6. Still upset about those Au Ra Limbal rings. The new ones don't glow at all. They may have never intended for them to be a feature but is has been for what 8 years now. Removing the glow now is not a good move. Also they aren't natural, they literally went out and said a few months ago they were magical not natural so no reason why they need to look natural.

Look at that image of the Au Ra Paladin, it's showing off the really nice reflective metals but notice the eyes. They go from noticeable and glowing to rather hard to see. They had something unique, their glowing eyes, and now its getting removed.

  7. The Dev panel was full of info. The textures and texture map changes are insane. I think my favorite thing was when they show the new fog system, I always liked the fog weather effects. I am so hype, although they seem small, but when all these small changes are put together it will give the game a HUGE face lift.

  8. The eye update makes Au Ra actually look alive and not like zombies.
Also armors are finally shiny and give the impression of reflecting light instead of looking like
you've just excavated them from a pile of dirt.

  9. I am literally saving up for a gaming desktop (I've played XIV on a laptop for three years) so I can jump into Dawntrail and properly experience all these new graphic updates. I'm so used to my low framerate and tuned-down visuals that it's going to feel like a brand-new game. Super excited!
