In the Drowned City of Skalla dungeon, the second boss resembles a closed container. However, if there is a Miqo'te in the party with an active food buff, the container will open revealing a Fat Cat inside. This doesn't change the mechanics, and doesn't work with Hrothgar, only Miqo'te.
Paladin's can't block while slow casting. Blocking and parrying is gauged to auto-attacks. So if you're not auto attacking you cannot block or parry. Similarly if you're stunned, even with Sheltron active you cannot block.
