Yeah… FF expansions are massive. The sheer amount of stuff that happens is insane.

I mean I plowed through Endwalker, and it still took me a full 5-6 days of nonstop playtime to get through it. Idk by what metric is it only "40 hours long."
Personally I consider the sidequests in Elpis (and to a slightly lesser extent Ultima Thule) as part of the MSQ. 100% best done at the same time as the extra lore and colour is so good and so relevant.
I just want to say that it's refreshing to see you guys smile and fuck around when you talk about ffxiv. I'm glad you're enjoying yourselves.
Bellular, could you make a FFXIV channel? Would make it easier to find all your content I like,
for EW, in the 86-87 zone when i was playing through during launch week, every 10 minutes or so someone would pipe up in shout chat just absolutely stunned with how good the game was
ENDWALKER IS EASILY THE BEST VIDEOGAME EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN A DECADE. THANK YOU YOSHI P.
Alan Wake 2 is coming out!!! Control DLC wasn’t just a tease.
I agree with Matt on the Final Fantasy games being stronger in end-game and better on the first fight with most mobs. Persona is a bit better in that regard, but can still end up in the same place sometimes.
Before they cut it down getting to heavens ward took 100 hours reading at a moderate pace. It was great :L
I'd definitely recommend playing Alexander and Omega, before starting Endwalker
the fact that 1 month after release new ppl still cant buy the game gives me a very negative feeling about how competent SE is regardless of how talented their devs are
So there hasn't been a steam since then because they double-K.O.ed one another over the pizza emote, is that the new lore? 😛
“I’m emotionally exhausted.” This is exactly what my friends, my fc and I were saying the whole time. It’s a good exhausting that I did and didn’t want a break from lol
Play the original FF7 before the remake. The latter completely messes up the pacing, setups and even some characters.
Would be great if I could actually log in.
After Square Enix added NFTs in ff14, Matt (inhale copium ) : Yep thats great ! they did the right thing , its different than how the wow doing it . ( passing copium to bellular ) bellular : so yeah considering how ff14 is better its not same thing .
I've gotta ask, is going through 10 years of content over 1 year making the story more satiable than watching 15 years of story play out slowly? You haven't broken down multiple plot holes over and over again constantly between expansions. You're just enjoying the flow of a "full" story. JRPG talk means i gotta mention Legend of Dragoon!!!! that combat system was super unique and broke that basic turn base mechanic
Can relate to what Matt said about the Omega ending cutscene… Given my original reaction of 'wtf is this?' when I first saw Alpha, I did not expect my feels hitting me hard by the end of it.
I completely disagree. Ffxiv expansions are usually very simple, small affairs. Once you get through the MSQ, there is very little content to do. Leveling crafters and gathers can be done In one day, maybe add a day for gearing and melding. After that there's almost nothing to do. Farm extreme fights I suppose, but once you've got gear it really is a situation where you just put the game down and go play something else while you wait for savage.
I play A LOT of JRPG turn based games and man they are the best 🙂
FF13 was awesome its ATB system actaully made ATB barrable to me.
