FFXIV (Endwalker) | Ultima Thule Theme Song | Close in the Distance

(Video may contain spoilers)

BGM for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’s final zone–Ultima Thule–during its last phase.

Lyrics:

Whispers, falling silently, drift on the wind
But I hear you
Our journey, now a memory fading from sight
But I see you

Unbroken, promises we made so long ago
You’re still here
Unspoken requiem for the river of tears

Flowing, winding, to an eternal sea
And yet our hope remains
Guiding, lighting the way
No time for mourning…

…(morning) Rises on a land reborn from the ashes
With the heavens’ true sunset
Blood-red skies tranquil after the storm
Blessed shadow

Turning, wеnding, always night follows day
The sun will shine again
Walk on, nevеr look back
Through you, we live

Tales of loss and fire and faith
Every word on our hearts engraved
In the dark you will not stray
Forge ahead, till the end, we pray

  2. Jesus.. the lyrics, combined with the knowledge of what the MSQ teaches you – its just heartbreaking, heartwarming, crushing but also gives strenght to move forwards :')

  3. A perfect song for a perfect game. Not to be cliche but this song reached me in a time I needed it the most. So many things to love about ffxiv and this is just the cherry on top. A true masterpiece.

  4. I'm actually kinda glad I didn't do the last dungeon with a trust the first time, cause the memory I have of sitting in that flower bed waiting on the queue to pop is seared into my head.
Listening to this song while just trying to process everything that brought me to that point, with that beautiful backdrop…
I haven't felt so immersed by a game in a long time.
