  1. i think people downplaying the removal of HQ mats are all assuming that they are being used by the same person to craft. I do not craft, I occasionally go out and gather HQ mats to give myself a nice bolster when I need it. The price differential between normal and HQ can be significant sometimes, and it allows for some good play on the market board. (And yes, despite what people say, you can list and sell normal quality items pretty reliably).

And the fact that they made the change with "inventory space in mind" rather than to make the game systems better is questionable at best. I'm going to take a hell of a lot of convincing.

  2. My suggestion for people worried about teleportation costs is to be smart with your favorite locations and your home point. Your silver favorite locations have a halved teleportation cost and the gold/home point are free. So I have my favorites in hub locations, warp to them, then go to my desired destination. Yes, it is a few more loading screens, but could save you a bit of cash. You could also add free company house, personal house and apartments to that list because they have small warp prices. But, as Chris mentioned you do make a lot of gil passively, that should more than cover the rising teleportation costs.

  3. though you have to remember not everything is at universal prices per server. I really don't see why they had to raise prices. Also prices will be increased due to rise of TP price. It's how I see it

  4. They need to make more high-end gil syncs through. Like make certain crafting materials available via gil purchases (would help drive down prices of certain items) or more mounts via gil, anything else along those lines. Something that takes away from the people who are gil capped and not new players or casual endgame players

  5. You can still get aetherite tickets fairly easily so I'm not too worried about teleportation fees. Also, I could see this making using favored / free teleportation destinations more meaningful to some degree. Make sure you have your favored / free locations spread out, and then close distance using those locations in order to get to your destination for cheaper.

  6. there is no "inflation" its just lazy design of a flawed system this does literally nothing to stop the gil pilling up and it hurts the average casual player who has very little time to devote to doing high end gil earning a "fist full of gil " is true statement ingame if they really want to solve this imaginary problem that players make up then they NEED to increase market board tax!
this was the stupidest thing i've ever heard them change next to changing the sage icon smh wtf is even going on with this game anymore.. so glad i am leaving it come Endwalker i do not like how easily they cater to very small angry vocal minorities grow a spine devs! learn to say NO to stupid requests seriously…

  7. I love the travel changes for increased gil. This is for all the people who say they have too much gil with nothing to spend it on. It forces them to spend it. Plus, for those who still want to hold on to their gil, this allows people to actually be seen roaming the fields again. It's a positive change. and yeah, the market stuff.

  8. Thank you for the three videos.
    I've liked what I've heard.
I was worried about ninja and monk and I like what I've heard of them. There's that thing that will make people say monk has turned into a ninja, but I think it will be and feel different enough.

  9. I don't know if this is going to impact the prices for glamour pieces on the MB. Now that people need more gil to play the game they won't be dropping the prices on MB goods, crafting mats and food/potions may get a bit more reasonable but the glamour items I just don't see getting affected other than becoming more expensive to offset teleportation fees

  10. I enjoyed the Live Letter. They explained more than necessary. Now, as far as the chat, it was maddening to watch, especially all of the people exclaiming that AST/SCH was dead. Instead of proclaiming the end of the world, wait until you get your hands on those jobs before jumping to conclusions. It reminded me of the people who freaked out about the WHM changes with Shadowbringers.

As far as the teleport fees, I wasn't too bothered by it. You can buy tickets that allow you to teleport for free and if not that, you can buy tickets that lower the cost by about 20% or so. Despite being presented with this knowledge, the chat still freaked out about it. Those individuals need to work on their ability at absorbing information.
