FFXIV: Endwalker Sage 1 to 90 Leveling Skills Guide

New? Got too many skills? Made the mistake of doing this job as the first healer you pick? Just hate reading? Try this guide out!

This guide seeks to teach new Sages how to Sage properly, without getting too deep into optimization. I’ll be showing off and explaining some openers but not delving too much deeper beyond that and general skill usage. Endgame is a long way away and there’s lots to learn along the way. Start slow and work your way up one skill at a time! Then, graduate to more advanced guides.

  1. Well done WeskAlber! 😀 May I suggest something for wall to wall pulls (although it might not be effective but it works for me) 🙂 So when the tank is about to pull: Dyskrasia > Eukrasian Diagnosis (break) > Dyskrasia > Eukrasian Diagnosis (break) > Dyskrasia > Eukrasian Diagnosis (break) > Dyskrasia > Eukrasian Diagnosis > immediately Toxikon > Soteria (the 4th eukrasian diagnosis breaks here) > Toxikon > Toxikon > Toxikon > Dyskrasia spam. The 4 toxicon spam is useful for healing the tank during the early portion of the pull so you and the tank are not overwhelmed. 🙂 Of course you may get a different result hehe. 😀 Great job as always!

  2. Another great guide. I am going to definitely Sage on Kess, my alt. She is two levels away from Level 70 Summoner and not even finished with the main story in Heavensward. (I'm at the point we enter the Hinterlands.)

  3. I like to rotate healing augmentations like Krasis and Physis II on different strategems, particularly I always make sure Haima and Panhaima during pulls are augmented by Krasis or Physis II's increased healing received buffs.

  4. thank you so much for this. Ive been messing with sage and your videos have helped me grasp classes in the past, so I'm hoping this does the same for me now. Great work.

  5. i had to level sage to 90 without you wesk!
That makes it the first job I did without your help, and dang that was a bit scary, lol.

but still, i'm sure it's a ton of work to make these, and this is stilll pretty fast.

  6. i really wish toxicon was better. i end a lot of fights with 3 stacks I couldn't figure out how to use, and get really excited when there's an opportunity to burn them, like when one mob somehow has way more health than theothers.

  7. oh dang, i had no idea that it was kardia that was creating enmity before the tank could collect them. I was at a complete loss as to what I had done wrong.

  8. It’s very easy to quickly fall in love with Sage. It looks cool, feels great, and makes sense immediately. Nothing really feels tacked on or bloated about it. It was my second job to hit 90, would recommend.

    Plus, Guns. 4 Guns.

  9. great combo for big pulls: krasis, physis, kerachole, pan/haima. should be able to do it every pull. alternating panhaima and haima, and you have 15seconds of not caring if the tank uses mitigation pretty much. and when it all wears off you still have taurochole + druo + soteria for heals if anything is still alive. very comfy

  10. sage and scholar comp goes really well, sage can also put out some beefy shields, but sad they cant spread and zoe doesnt make it crit, if you use physis, krasis, zoe, haima, euk diagnosis, and diagnosis crits, will get really juicy shield. Sage can give scholar 35% increased healing on a target, scholar can give his 35% to a target, and then scholar can give juicy af shield to everyone

  11. Nice guide, but the way you pronounce the addersgall-spending ability names is like nails on a chalkboard to me 😛 I pronounce the -chole suffix as "ghoal"

  12. Huh. Y'know, I've leveled Sage to 90 and been using it regularly in dungeons with friends, and I hadn't noticed at any point that Eukrasian Prognosis doesn't apply Differential on crits. I was just expecting it to work and figured I'd been really unlucky with crits.

  13. I've almost got sage to 90 now, which is surprising as at first it just didn't click with me, and I went back to scholar. After I'd finished the MSQ I decided to give it another shot, and it has quickly become my main now.

  14. Great video! One thing I wish it had though, was heal rotations how you do DPS openings. You mention a few times the order you use the skills in to optimize them, and I think it would be amazing if you had a graphic like you do for the DPS. I struggle to keep the names of the skills straight with Sage since they all sound so alike, and a picture graphic would really help me visualize it better.
