  1. I had to speedrun this song, I love it so much, Soken wrote another masterpiece. Featuring Ariah on vocals who did an AMAZING job – please subscribe to her she does FFXIV covers as well, and meet my new Vivi tattoo !
Here's the unofficial lyrics Ariah used :

o twin gods bless this land
    to us treasure bestow
    city of desert sands
    water and gold below

    lifeblood and rubies red
    precious coins casting glow
    four hands our fortunes mend
that want we may not know

and when we reach our ends
    to scales we gladly go
our fates are yours to bend
    to hell’s and heaven’s flow

    under arid sky
with silk veils we weave a rainbow
    voices lifted high
dreams upon our backs we carry

when day beckons night (day to night)
as does restless time go slow
    trusting hand in hand
    life, death, will follow

    CHORUS 1
    stoke the nascent flame
brighter burn, dance with souls afire
may ember catch a red-gold spark
    rise to new heights

may we want all that coin can buy
never see one’s river run dry
may we find fortune after life
    for this we pray
    we pray
    we pray
    we pray twinfold

    CHORUS 2
    stoke our kindled flame
hotter burn, sing till breath expires
may those who wander, left in the dark, find firelight

may we on astral eagle’s fly
    never fear unjust favor’s bite
may we be judged by what is right
    for this we pray
    we pray
    we pray
    we pray twinfold

  2. Basically an epic hymn from one of the coolest cultures on Etheirys. I'm just sad we won't get hymns for all the other patron deities among the Twelve… we already have Rhalgr, I guess, as Measure of His Reach. But we're getting at most two more T.T

  3. Ariah's vocals are amazing, because there's a greater degree of power in her voice that brings the vocals closer to an operatic metal flavor, which matches perfectly with Husky's heavier composition. The vocals for the track in-game, by contrast, match well with the poppier Arabesque orchestration. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that Ariah's vocals are a great match for Husky's music, in addition to being high quality overall, and even if there are differences in her singing vs. the original, that's not a qualitative difference, it's just a matter of style. So, both of you keeping being awesome, okay? <3

  4. i thought ffxiv fan artists were a terrifyingly quick bunch, but they are but sloths to the speed this was done not only to transcribe, but to remix, secure unofficial lyrics, AND score a collaboration of quality in less than five days.

  5. What gloriousness! To pump this out so fast is appreciated! Even if it took you another week or two like, I don't think anyone would've complained, but to make something this awesome quick is fantastic!
