I don't think there's been a single moment in FFXIV since "Remember us," that Emet hasn't made me cry. Like goddamn, stop it. When he says "My ideals are inviolate… Invincible." And you hear the pain and sorrow in his voice, it breaks me hard. Hermes is also an amazing character. His end as Amon before Hydaelyn battle was so sad, when he started remembering his past life fully and lamenting his sad answer to the question of life.
daaamn, such a shame. really hoped you'd understand zenos in the end
Well done! 🙌
I full on ugly cried from this point on…it was done extremely well and would do it all over again
I know a lot of people don't like Zenos, but his story isn't just sad; it's a cautionary tale. He is who we could have been, had we been granted all that power, all that skill, with no guidance. No purpose. We learned of our role and found our way by experiencing the world and its people through our own eyes. Zenos just never had that chance. In his final moments, I think he starts to understand just how wrong he's been, and how things could have been different.
Emet is always like: I will do what you want, I know I made mistake; I will make things right but I still don't like you.
Finished Endwalker yesterday and going from dungeon to trial to that Zenos event, just blew me away. Not going to lie, during that voices from the past section, I was crying my eyes out and even going back to Ultima Thule afterwards still makes me tear up a bit because of the music. Surprisingly, I switched mains from Red Mage to Reaper as I'm having a blast with it. Lastly, knowing Emet-Selch's past now makes the "Remember us. Remember that we once lived." part hurt even more now.
Man i cheered when Zenos broke through like the kool Aid man LOL good stuff
Specifically, the chocolate milkshake.

i would've laughed if emet said "i mean, out of all the primals you have encountered, you still don't anything about odin"
Not understanding Zenos should be a crime.
Zenos is someone i never understod the hate for, i could only pity him and love him at the same time
