Luckily I won’t have as hard of a time of changing my vacation days , but it still kinda sucks since this is only 2 weeks notice and I’m sure not everyone can

NEVER forget this. 2 weeks? they could delay it until next year for all what i care. Better they make sure it is good then press because of Holiday
Damn. I took vacation. Should have known better but I have to give a month notice. Fingers crossed I can shift it to the delayed date. I am super disappointed. But…moreso because I wanna play it now!! I know that Yoshi-P wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't necessary. I am sad. But more sad because I just really want to play it with or without a week off. My heart goes out to everyone ❤ as well as this amazing team for all their hard work. Now…please for the love of God…I hope there is not a SECOND delay.
I work in the emergency sector and had to do so much extra to get time off in Nov, No chance in hell in Dec.. I'm now royally screwed…
It's super rare we gotten a delay like this, but understandable during these complex situations with current world events 🙁
But the bright side, this gives recently new players to clear side quests that will be essential to the Story 🙂
2 week delay. Meh, Blizzard would just release then 18 months later you would get the expansion…

Axing job quests gives room for job quest characters to appear in mSQ. Could you imagine Y'shtola and Y'mitra back to back charging a big spell?

Disclaimer: My comments are toxic. Viewer discretion is advised, however not reading the comments is PREFERRED. Part of me “understands” the delay is reasonable. Part of me is laughing at Yoshi-P’s blunder. Part of me is furious that the original date for this was a lie. And Part of me has an irrational hatred (though story wise it’s justified) over Alisaie; she just needs to die already. There. I said it. Alphinau will rightfully hate me, but it has to be said.
Yoshi P doing this is him lying to us all now for about 2-3 months. If this was done maybe 6 weeks ago, it would be fine, but he's done it two weeks before the release. He can cry all he likes but the trust is now gone. Why should I spend my valuable time on FF14 in the future when I can no longer trust what that man says because of his incompetence. You cannot change anything significant in 2 weeks, so I have to wonder if what he is changing needs to be changed. This is how Blizzard started, and I will not go through another Blizzard style situation. I will now be looking for another game that respects my time investment because Square has proven that I cannot trust their word, and it seems the higher-ups at Square Enix agree. This has lost them customers and they should know that. BTW I've been playing the game for 7yrs.

Thankfully I'm not affected by the delay, but I'm curious why there was no mention of anything about island sanctuary in this Live Letter!?, I wonder if ghats part of the reason for the delay (because it needed more polish/testing).
I do feel bad for people who took time off and arranged life around it. What I hope is that two weeks is actually enough time for them to handle what they need.
not even mad. I wish it was releasing on time but it gives me some more time to get a few things done before release. I had release week booked off for Vacation in November but ill get some other chores done now as well.
The weapon changes is nice, in shadowbringers after my first relic it was much quicker to make relics than to wait 2 weeks for 1000 tomes. I ended up with 8 relics and I only really play 4 or 5 jobs regularly
I don't like that they are removing HQ items… makes it seem like they're dumbing down crafting, while also removing the difference between players who are actually good at crafting (and who have been at it for years) and players who are not… and god am I happy I already got a house (although would have liked to get one in Ishgard…).
So I have to wait an extra two weeks before the insufferable bore known as Zenos takes center stage again? Oh no. Say it isn’t so.
