FFXIV: Endwalker Arcanist/Summoner 1 to 90 Leveling Skills Guide

New? Got too many skills? Made the mistake of using a level skip and have no idea what anything does? Just hate reading? Try this guide out!

This guide seeks to teach new Summoners how to Summoner properly, without getting too deep into optimization. I’ll be showing off and explaining some openers but not delving too much deeper beyond that and general skill usage. Endgame is a long way away and there’s lots to learn along the way. Start slow and work your way up one skill at a time! Then, graduate to more advanced guides.

  1. Note: The level 35 and 45 Egi Summons are MSQ locked as well beyond the normal requirements. If MSQ guide does not list your next job quest, progress the story like normal.

  2. /petsize all small? I think you mean /petsize all even bigger, I want titan’s titanic ass to fill even more of my screen

I shouldn’t need to say this, but this is the internet:
    This was a joke

  3. I watched every guide you made, super helpful every time I wanted to get into a new job, but honestly I then started to watch them just for the sake of watching them, like even jobs I knew already, or re-watching the same multiple times, I just love these guides and was super happy that chair suggested them as well

  4. I've been a SMN main since like 2.4, and I've been with summoner through all the ups and downs. I've always loved the job, but this current iteration is basically what I always wanted from it. The ENTIRE job is now summoning, and that's basically all you do! Yeah, it's honestly a little too simple, but the aesthetic of it goes a long way toward my enjoyment. And it sets a good foundation for ways they can improve and build on it in the future. Imagine if after you summon Bahamut, what if all your 3 basic summons changed to new summons? Maybe turning Ifrit, Titan, and Garuda into Leviathan, Ramuh, and Shiva? That'd be incredible. Or maybe it'll be something else they do in the future. Whatever it turns out to be, I'm here for it.

  5. A couple recommendations:

    1. Cast Ruin III pre-pull (only really applies in coordinated content usually)
    2. Whatever your first Ruin III is, cast an extra Ruin III before using Searing Light. Searing Light can't be used until enemies are aggro-ed, so if you use it on your first Ruin III, you'll find that you can't use it until late into your GCD, meaning you'll clip Summon Bahamut (you can actually see this happen in the video).

    So basically it goes:
    Ruin III pre-pull cast (1.5s on the timer)>Ruin III+Searing Light>Summon Bahamut

If you're in DF content where timers aren't used a lot, use the opener in this video, but add one more Ruin III before Searing Light. So it would be:
    Ruin III>Ruin III+Searing Light>Summon Bahamut
