I'm thrilled about the monk changes. Encounters in this game don't feel designed for "positionals". Taking those off is like I am getting four new jobs this expansion. I know the positional fans will be mad. They've been shouting at me about it for months. I'm really looking forward to this expansion more and more.

Wouldnt be surprise if they just kept white mage kind of simple just to have a healer that doesnt have too many bells and whistles
My suspicion is that Liturgy of the Bell is designed to mitigate phases where multiple raidwides are done in a row, I think E4S has such a phase. WHM in non-Savage content is in a very good place, especially with the cast time reduction.
As a Bard main these changes are sick. Finally our buffs effect ourselves

Gotta see those damage numbers for RDM compared to BLM and SMN, I mean their utility and ease of use is bonkers.
I'm a little sad my main DRK got so little but that Unmend upgrade recharging Plunge is actually lit. Being able to jump back in action sooner is deff gonna be more fluid. I can't wait for tommorow!

To be honest looking at all the changes I think they lowered the skill gap on Bard for sure. However I do think it may still play very similarly just instead of Dots ticking your proccs its now just tied as a set chance to the song ticking wich is an odd change to say the least.
Battle voice I think buffing us is an odd change and might be to strong when combined with the Coda buff.
The main changes I see are the following:
1. Bard will no longer need to dot all the mobs during dungeon pulls in order to procc them rain of death spam > quicknot ( new skill now)
2. Songs now have a set proc rate for our song effects ( its no longer the dots) – we will have to wait and see how this plays
3. Barrage now grants 2 effects so AOE Refulgent option for mobbing and refulgent (straight shot ready) – I dont hate this change vs dotting up mobs to use shadowbite so just simplified mobbing
4. Battle Voice now Also Buffs Bard – This may be to strong given we also just got the Coda stuff
5. 3 Bloodletter charges – Im not gonna hate on this but 3 charges???? it might be needed due to the dots no longer being the proccing but I thought 2 with the dots doing it wouldve been plenty.
6. Dots are now mainly damage you keep up along with the 35% chance to proc refulgent arrow – they still do something just not as much as before ( before you were highly rewarded for keeping up the dots as they tied together the whole kit).
7. Sidewinder and Shadowbite no longer boost the dots for a time and instead are just damage.
Im gonna see how it all plays before judging it may not be as big of changes as we think when it comes to the dots proccing the damage vs the song being active just doing it. If anything I have a feeling these changes might just make bard feel more consistent throughout but again need to feel it first to truley know.
Im gonna be a plunge main now, spamming unmend to reset my plunge cd.

Why is SMN still have physick?
What are these names on Sage's skills and spells? Latin terms?
Why is it "silly" to have a melee like SAM not to have long combos? Why not have long buffs? As long as it's more power and helpful that's what matters.
Why do they not want anyone to have DoTs? I relied on DoTs to survive being being swarmed.
DoT job I been asking for ever since people said SmN would lose it during the summer.

Watching this video I can clearly tell that you don’t main tank or heals. And clearly biased for Melee DPS LOL. respect. Personally, I main tank/heal/RDM.
I main tank so much that I have two sets of gear for my tanks. One for WAR and one for the rest lol. iLvl for tank is 530. Heals 530 RDM 530. And the rest is either 525 or 529 depending on job.
I’m guessing at 6.01 I can see WAR is going to be modified, PLD nerfed, DRK boost up, and GNB minor changes.
WHM looks fine tbh. SCH definitely going to get a minor nerf, big nerf on Sage, AST looks almost perfect so maybe a minor nerf

I just realized the name is "carve and spit" instead of "carve and split" because of course you spit on your enemy and not split them open as you are carving them. Silly me.
I might be just bad at monk, but I LOVED LOVED LOVED the fact that they removed positionals on Bootshine and Dragon Kick. I think I’m going to have a lot of fun with it now, and also that this ironically made DRG the melee DPS with the most number of positionals now.
Dancer looks like garbage now. It was my favorite in shadowbringers but will never play it in endwalker. Don’t even want one in my party anymore. 😭

Monk: She took the fucking positionals
BLM is now literally a perfect JOB. The rotation flows flawlessly at all levels and everything that's added as you level just improves your experience.
One note on Sage: Physis 2 was nerfed but a trait was added to upgrade Physis 1 to Physis 2, where they were two different abilities before. And the potency of Physis 2 was nerfed but the cool down was reduced from 3 minutes to 1 minutes and it increases all healing by 10%. It seemed like a nerf at first but is actually very strong now, and more spammable

I think literally my only change I'd like to see on black mage is to just ditch scathe's additional effect and make it 120 potency (so you don't have to worry about wasting sharp on it) and making it 0 mp just so it's at least not a dps loss to use for movement. Though with the amount of mobility tools BLM is getting I don't see much reason to complain either way.
What the healers tell me is that EW stuff will do a butt load of damage

BRD loosing dots is stupid, MB stacks being on a 7.5 reset is stupider, no more duel procs and aoe interaction with songs is a travesty. These changes sound like shit
On NIN, based on the wording as I read it, Phantom Kamaitachi no longer requires Bunshin, just the buff "Phantom Kamaitachi Ready" which means you might be able to use it after Bunshin is over and before your next Bunshin.
The Forked change is really good – even if it just means being able to use more Raitons and Throwing Daggers before Forked, it means that NINs aren't getting completely screwed by 2 GCD+ disconnects. Also, Fleeting is no longer a combo action with Forked, which should mean that you CAN melee between Forked and Fleeting

Coming back to this after playing some early access….for BARD….it’s phenomenal and I see no needed changes except to go forward from here. What they’ve done I like VERY much🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I really like the monk change. Before i was physically unable to play a monk because of the positional requirements. My left hand is partially paralyzed and the constant movement starts to become painfully after a bit, I can do fine with SAM so I'm very excited to test out monk. I for one hope that they do not change it back in positionals as I'm sure more people are now willing to try the job.

As a new player, the removal of a lot of the directionals for monk feels like they've just made them a more generic dps.

Abyssal Drain sharing cd with Carve and Spit….Flood getting totally completely useless….potency nerfs, no quality of life asides from Delirium charge system…..feh

The raiju buff says melee skill not weapon skill…so you should be able to use dagger throw and not interrupt it. So it doesn’t force you to dash back in to an unsafe position
