i need to know the stats priorities
So the gameplay really changes in higher levels. I started playing a couple days ago, and I spam Ruin a lot. In these stage of the game you don't use Ruin, Fester, Energy Drain, Outburst, etc., anymore?
loool literally never used swiftcast druing summon phase lol , im so lost
You can summon bahamut every 60 seconds before unlocking phoenix. Unlocking phoenix is a dps loss.
At 5:03 you say if you're staying still to use Garuda over Titan. I thought Garuda would be better for movement because it's a faster cast. I'm new at all this, so I just wanted to understand why. Thanks, great tutorial! it just dawned on me. Is it because Garuda's slipstream requires standing still?
At First I thought Summoner will be like a job for Gamer
Turns out to be way straight forward than I imagine
very fun very cool looking
and here a tips for everyone
You have adjusted the Summon sizes yourself not Summoner's job
I`m wondering in after downtimes and lets say you got Ifrit and Titan left to use up but you got either Bahamut or Phoenix ready to pop. I´ve been using the summon spells skipping their usual combos so I can use Summon Bahamut/phoenix asap. Is it better this way or should you just use Summon Bahamut/phoenix right off the bat even if you have some of the elemental summons left to use up?
I don’t understand… why are some summoners saying spell speed is bad but others are saying it’s good now?
If you are doing content where there is downtime lined up during an elemental phase and the boss is untargetable, when the boss becomes targetable and you have bahamut or phoenix up, is it better to finish the elementals or just clip right back into bahamut or phoenix? (assuming you don't have the buff or shield coming up soon and need them)
:bless:
Where do you fit in ruin 4?
so helpful thank you!
Been looking to get back into smn after abandoning it in stormblood, your guide cleared a couple things the most. can you post your controller setup (for the job)?
Great observations. I was forgetting to summon Phoenix within range of my party members, thanks for the tips.
5:10 Swiftcast can be used on Slipstream in the opener then used on Ruby after? How are you getting Swiftcast back up in time and why would you instead of using Slipstream dot?
It feels really weird to just have the carbuncle sit there and not attack. It feels like I'm doing something wrong. They maybe should have had the carbuncle just be part of the animation when you cast its abilities then leave the way all the other summons work. It's not like there's a practical reason to require it on the field for everything. It's just taking up space.
simple straight to the point. TY
tyvm. this helps a lot.
I hate summoner being forced in going melee range as part of the rotation.
I’m currently only a level 9 Arcanist (my first character in FFXIV) I’ve always been a big fan of pet classes in games like this so seeing what Summoner turns into helps me know I picked the right class for me. Thank you for the quick rotation run through.
Why woldnt you open with Ruin 3, hit Energy Drain, pop buff, Ruin 4, then Bahamut?
nice video bro
u made this so simple for my shitty lizard brain thank u
Do ur pets still act solo like tank, pull aggro ect ?
Dude.. that's like 7 minutes too much information. Anyone doing anything less than extremes on SMN could ignore all other buttons and just cast whichever Ruin they are leveled to. And do about 10-20% less damage than those carefully (and lovingly no doubt on your part) rotations. I reckon the devs stat crunch and as a result the DPS squish, where there is way less discepancy between someone playing well and someone else whacking 1 button, is a direct result of whingers.. whingers.. whingers.. Constantly going on about other people doing less than optimum DPS. Capping out Crit-hit with materia is probably more beneficial as the game now stands, than all the carefully observed 'rotations' in the world.
"delay enkindle and fester and deathflare so you can fit in with more party buffs" what does that mean, i dont understand.
