  1. I've no problem ever waiting for someone to watch a cutscene. And I'll always take ages to pull if your this kind of person. Let people enjoy the game. Dps are very replaceable and it's always a dps that's like this

  2. There are two ways to look at this:

People like that are the reason why castrum and praetorium are absolute slogs to get through

People like that are why castrum and praetorium give extra rewards.

  3. After ShB I just do dungeons for the 1st time with trusts. Mostly because I'm too lazy to level them, but also not to get in the way of people who may be in a rush with their roulettes or something.

  4. My wife and I helped a new friend by being his healer co-tank for trials. He said he wanted to go in blind, so we didn't say anything. Told the party we had a new player.

Go figure the other healer was the one who started getting impatient, telling him to just skip and watch it later. Then kept spending the fight telling him to use cooldowns on the tankbusters.

My wife, the WHM: "It's not like you're the one healing anyway, so why do you care if he takes more damage?"

  5. Please let me watch the cutscenes
As a sprout I need to know the story.

Things like this make me happy to be in a JP server because people don’t do shit like this. I go “this is my first time here” and they go “Let’s have some fun!” “Good luck”!

Even when I’m in a dungeon ive been in before and someone’s watching a cutscene I just chill and emote at the rest of the party. Basic common courtesy.

  6. Cutscenes are the perfect time to flex your emote collection

Also, when im healing and a dps pulls final boss while tank is in cutscene to try and force a skip, I let them die and run back

  7. i played the free trial through all of ARR and skipped every cutscene from some point on, it was just so fucking boring. i wanna play an mmo and not a single player game that bombs me with dialouges and cuscenes. i guess its a jrpg afterall… gotta find a real mmo other than wow somehow :/

  8. My very first finish of 2.0 was when the others could skip the cutscenes and just finish the content on their own while you watched the Cutscenes.
This caused me to essentially have 1 hour of pure cutscene watching because whenever i finished one, the next would trigger soon after due to them already progressing further and the game just kicking me into the next one.

Thus i have seen the Cutscenes at that point, however it took me until i actually started doing MSQ Roulette to actually ever know what you had to do in Castrum and Praetorium.

  9. Sprout here. Felt so guilty watching cutscenes when I heard my party start fighting the boss… And kill it before the scene was done.
    It was embarrassing.
So I started skipping them all and watching them later at the Inn.
It's fine, but it does kill the story somewhat as you are not watching the scene in full context.

  10. I do not mind cutscenes. Though, I hate speedruns like the people that just skips adds in Praetorium to finish 5 min earlier. Come on, that is ruining the game experience for new players. I can tell because I couldn't do anything on the first time I've cleared it, or Castrum Meridianum for that matter.
