  1. The worst part about cheats like this is what it does to people's attitudes. No longer are you thinking "damn that guy on the other team knows what he's doing' but you're thinking "probably cheating."

Once that's in your mind as a likely possibility, it just sours the experience, regardless if they are cheating or not.

  2. And I was going to get into PVP for the first time in FFXIV – but after seeing this, No. I will NOT tolerate cheaters and cheaters should be handed over to ISIS imo…

  3. I've never cared for PvP so as far I care, I don't give a shit this is happening. It doesn't, and will never, make a difference to me, so more power to them. None of those hacks will clear Dragonsong for you

  4. It’s probably not a coincidence that those people advertising the cheats are also using a wow UI add-on :p
(Before i create any drama, i have nothing against anyone that comes from wow, and i’m not trying to imply anything. I was just making an observation. Lots of love, etc, etc…)

  5. If SE do something for this addons they will hit the QoL stuff too, and they can't install anti cheat-software on customer PC because of Jp law. The way they are doing it now is not going to change soon(reporting to GMs/ ingame system don't prompt the use of them ) and half of this cheats normal players can't catch them. It will be interesting to see what SE will do but as the game get's bigger problems like that will get more and more common

  6. I just don't understand the other side of the discussion. 'Yes hacks will exist in some form for every single game in existence, so let's not do anything about it, it is futile.' Even if you can't do anything but report a cheater, it is doing something significant for the game, no, the community. These cheats and hacks will destroy people's trust and faith in FF14 and this is why the devs decided to crack down on modding in general, so spare me the arguments about how other mods are harmless or great QOL if that is your justification for permitting cheats to persist.

  7. Report it in game using the in game support tool. Don't invite Yoshi-P to get that info, use the tools you have to submit it to their team. Thanks for the investigation work, and good job on not naming and shaming and not giving people contact info to buy this stuff, but please, please, just forward all the info you've got using the in game support tool. Thank you.

  8. was so into CC when it first came out but the cheating and the fact that the overprevalence of stun/polymorph etc seems to be 100% intentional made me quit already
they have GOT to tune down the crowd control, it is utterly unfun

  9. to reiterate why auto-chiten is so powerful. If you attack a samurai with active chiten, you get a debuff. If the samurai then hits you with their limit break, you will get hit for 100% of your maximum hp, which unless you have shields for example (ignores guard), oneshots you.

  10. personally i dont care for pvp, i will try it and fail misrebly trying to get some cosmetics, but outside of it, if people are using tools in pve, i couldent care less so long they wont use it as excuse to be like "hey, you are not doing enough damage, gtfo"

  11. Trouble is when people use hacks, bots or any other form of cheating it makes u think are they actually good at there jobs. I am a ps4 user I don't like what they do, I've seen in in CC and Frontline also it's ridiculous how many are doing this. But Ty for highlighting this I hope Yoshi P does do something about this. It ruins the game for people like me and others who actually like to do things legit.
Also not only in pvp its in crafting gathering seen them it's dissapointing.

  12. Another big issue is that basicly players who are very good in PvP will be labeled as Cheaters because there's the possibility they're using something even if they're not. This will create massive toxicity even among fair players.

  13. Enjoyed pvp when it was released but now I don't even dare to touch it due to all these hackers and cheaters. It's sad cause the mode is really fun but the unfairness that it causes to normal players is too much.

  14. Just look at how TF2 has been completely ruined by hacks, bots and cheats. NOBODY wants to play it anymore so I have to ask fellow gamers. Do you REALLY want FFXIV's PVP system ruined like that? Of course not. Yoshi P and developing team finally made PVP fun in the game, don't let these reprobates ruin it.

  15. The only solution is to have GM or SE people keep an eye on crystal matches. You can't have a "judge" monitoring every match, but focusing on crystal matches at least you will caught lots of the cheaters. The problem with the communitty keeping an eye for this is that we don't have the tools and even some cheats can make anyone Annonymous so you can't even report them.

  16. I wonder if the cheats/hacks is affecting the balancing itself, and if/when they do crack down more on the cheats will it throw off the balance again and require more balance changes.

  17. Even if SE doesn’t contact you about it, I assure you their lawyers are on the job. SE defined how to deal with RMT over the years. But the best thing to do is to make an official report to gms about it with the information and links. But SE is famously litigious on issues like this. Look at what they said on internal leakers. While sometimes they move slowly or invisibly there is movement. But they’re quietly collecting legal evidence and likely have already sent Cease and Desist notices that have been ignored.

  18. Thats been an issue forever…WOW has pvp..and at the end of the season they have two announcements

    1. To announce the season winners
    2. To announce the names of the hundreds of players banned for cheating.

  19. Hope they take action against the players who use these cheats, not a suspension but complete perma ban.
And they maybe start looking into creators of said cheating mods etc. and take legal action as well.
