  1. Seems to me like he's vague-dropping what he's working on once his hands are clean of FFXVI. Which very well may already have happened. He's pretty known for saying that he would "like to do" something… that he's already begun working on.

  2. In the review, he also explained the philosophy of the team, which make the whole team grow and mature by trying, even failing sometimes. That's we know now is so true. Chase the dream, face the issues and learn to exceed them. Really both realistic and inspiratory.

  3. I can't wait for 10 years from now when FF XX comes out as the new masterpiece of MMO's with a proper built in transmog, a working housing system with proper decoration tools, and all the accessibility options you could dream of.

  4. I'm pretty excited for 6.2 but I'm not taking any time off for it because I know that there are going to be some issues that will crop up, possibly forcing server downtime for emergency patches and hotfixes for unexpected exploits.

  5. FFXIV is not built on the engine from 1.0…. it is built on the beta version of luminous tools which was heavily modified for mmorpgs. The crystal tools engine was 85% of the problem for FFXIV 1.0. The only that was ported from 1.0 to save time was game asets like armor and other asets that had to be downscaled for the new build.

  6. I'm not surprised if he (and a team) already started. Remember when they secretly built ffxiv 2.0 when 1.0 was still running? Remember when way back, ffxiv was already planned or even in development in 2005 when ffxi was only 3 years young? I have a feeling this is how they operate. If or whenever they announce a new MMO with Yoshi P as lead, the whole mmo-community is gonna try that game out. Will be a great experience.

  7. Hope he gets to do it ,but let's say "if" the time comes and he succeed on making it then he passed away ,hows the game future would do without him/his vision ? 😐 I just hope for his healthy and the FFXIV square team to keep delivering us good content and satisfaction ♥️☺️

  8. I think it’s hard to improve on FF14 without going in a completely new direction. Recent balances have been significantly simplifying already simple game mechanics to the disdain of a lot of players. If he ever does do another MMO, I expect it to be something different kind of like how FF16 is different from previous Final Fantasies. None of the final fantasies except for Tactics have been quite as gritty. And when it comes to Ivalice, only tactics and vagrant story are gritty.

  9. I imagine Yoshi-P thinking about making his own MMO game for years now but each time this happens someone posts a lala picture and he forgets it all. Also probs the sole reason he accepted FFXIV is for lalas too.

  10. We all know Endwalker was originally planned as the last expansion of XIV before starting anew.
It was Square Enix CEO to force the team to continue XIV's expansion and to readapt what they had in mind for a new FF Online for XIV.

  11. I'm not even sure he would do another FF game. I mean, if he wants to do something completely original, he'd probably want to make his own stuff up. I know FF games tend to be different stories from each one, but they DO all share similar set pieces, themes, names, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to make something completely different.

  12. I can see Yoshi-p producing the new MMO, like sakaGUCCI and Yoko taro, did, hand-off most of the time but still having creative control over the project but something at a large scale like FF14 is not likely, maybe a mobile MMO.

  13. not really..,
My wish for a Glamour System is a Book/Tome of Designs.
in which gear is either dismantled, or glamoured into the Grimoire.
saving the base model, and then the texture separately(in game terms) with different texture variants being saved.
creating a need for Crafters to Craft New and old Gear, and people farming old content to collect gear, or new players saving gear.

with either this massive Collection being Able to Be Slotted into the Glamour Dresser, and Armoire.
[with maybe an option to make/craft a expensive endless Dye]

Separated by Expac, and Content Tier.
    preferably all in one tome/book/grimoire
but if needs be, Split by Expac.

and seriously, need HQ Relic, and Accountwide mogstation.

  14. If he decides to make another MMO I'd love it if it was a Final Fantasy action mmo. perhaps something akin to PSO2 NG, but with FF inspired mechanics and stuff. This way it won't just be trapped under the shadow of FF14 as it will be a different genre.

  15. It still amazes me how people still stay so tribal and won't give FF14 a chance. I've played a LOT of MMOs of varying styles, from Korean grinders like BDO to PVP sandboxes like EVE to PVE Andy experiences like EQ and WoW and FF14 is EASILY, easily the best of the MMO genre, the only game I really think was even in the ballpark was Guild Wars 2. People just punish themselves by denying themselves the enjoyment.

PS: no MMO will ever be made in VR, trust me I've got an Oculus and played many games and the nausea problem is beyond terrible. You can't get away from marrying the 3D movement with the human inner ear.
