That is a typical Corgi placement when they go flat and have the backlegs pointing straight back. It's called a "sploot"
Fun fact, he wasn’t playing dead- it’s a “sploot” which is kind of just a relaxing position for corgis. It’s different than most dogs in the sense they’re comfortable stretching their hind legs behind them
