It’s not often I can truly identify as someone else but @Sonny_D succeeded in doing that. What started as my least preferable MMORPG ended up becoming my favourite RPG-MMO of all time. I laughed, I cried, I got angry and sad and if I could erase my memories, I’d play this game again. In this video, Sonny makes a tremendous job in putting out there how we all felt and why this game is more than a game.

Hey thanks for watching the video! I really enjoyed your anecdotes about your personal experience. I'm glad we all get to share such a wonderful game that people can take whatever they want from, much love dude ❤️
"I typed LOL and i logged off"…. are you me?? fck i was so toxic in wow man i totally understand. This game brings the worst out of me, thankfully shadowlands was my last expansion. Addiction is cured.
Love the Sprout, Water the Sprout, LaHee! and Lali Ho! the Sprout!
We welcome the sprouts because we remember when we were ones, and now we "pay it forward" not just "pay it back".
Are there trolls? always and everywhere… but there are more people that want others to enjoy the adventure (questing, story, trials and raids) as much as they did.
Do we mald? yeah… but it's what we do (and how we do) with that "mald energy" that makes the community so memorable and welcoming.
Sonny and Shiny thanks for the great content…. finished EW 2 weeks ago and still my emotions are so raw… I can't even put it in words how this game has touched me… and about BGM… I can't even go to Old Sharlayan because the music reminds me to much of key moments.. anyway.. again thanks!
I've been playing since August 2021(?) when Asmon started. I'm not a Wowhead, but when I saw Asmon play, I knew I had to try out FF14. I'd never played this kind of game before and FF14's slow start was perfect for my level of "newbieness". Anyways, since then, I've bumped into 2 outright toxic players that were actually hurtful. Other than that, I've been treated very well (Lamia server on Primal). I went into Savage Raid tier with no real knowledge. Someone else on Primal traveled to Lamia, when they noticed my melds were wack, and helped me meld a full set of proper gear! They even bought me some of the materia!!! And this other time, I saw this cute minion. I went up and asked the player where they had gotten it. Turns out they had a spare! And I got this minion for free. Of course, I couldn't stop talking about this game, so I got my sister playing. She deleted her first minion by accident (the floating boat). It was such a sprout moment. Now, we're finishing up Heavensward together (I'm going through the MSQ with her again)… and we look at the new sprouts still leveling through the 20s, and look back at her first sprout moments with fondness. Honestly, overall my experience in FF14 has been so wholesome, I wish all of my friends and family would try it out…
The thing that hooked me on this game was a player event. A few weeks ago a group of 6 bards created a concert in Gridania. They would take turns playing songs and gathered a group of about 30 to 50 people watching them. The part that got me was that they stayed to perform for over 6 HOURS. The last performer stayed an extra 2 hours past when the event ended because a small group of about 8 people kept listening to him. During that whole concert not one person complained or was rude. I was in shock because I have never seen any event in another game where people as a whole were so well behaved and attentive. That experience from FF14 made me fall in love with this game.
Thanks for playing keep up the good content
I consider FFXIV to be the detox to old bad habits.
"If you don't cultivate the sprout, it will never grow."
Or, as I like to think of it….. "Look to those who walked before to lead those who walk after."
one experience i had that sticks out in my memory is when i did the Puppets Bunker Raid on Day one Blind with a group of 23 other randos; we spent almost the full time till lockout to clear it, and most of us were blind running it from the looks of it. but the part that really stuck out to me was how even after like a dozen wipes, no one left. we all struggled together and we cleared with like 2 mins left on the clock. on a side note, i was also terrible MNK player at the time doing my Rotation completely wrong.
