Blue mage I like in the patch however I hated what they did to bozja
Iâm frustrated . I canât get a party to do castrum. Canât progress to new content if I canât do it. Donât know what to do. I know you guys spoke about this in a separate video. Love the videos! Keep up the great work!
I think now Chris fully understands why crafters were so pissed at 5.1
Honestly Im no fan of this patch. Skysteel stuff is not me since i still miss the sec part. Blu? Not my cup of tea. Bozjah? Sry, hate it. ever since it started this zone is… well, its authentic, yes, its a warzone, yes… but i hate it, to the bottom of my heart. its a chore, and it feels like wasting my time. its punishing, and only if you join a trained train you can hope to get a little mettle to get on with the mandatory stuff. as for the anouncement that we would still need it for later relic uhpgrades, sorry, i must have mist that. Now im stuck at castrum und groups either disband before it starts or we dont make it in time. add to that the mettle you lose, you finish with less than what you startet. is that some 2021 version of fun? i dont mind banging my head against a boss if there is at least some silver lining… not so here. what little reward there would have been is locked behind yet another rank up… great.
you see, im thoroughly irritated by this patch and i hope this weekend ends better than it started… hopefully with a completed castrum run and then this cursed zone wont see me ever again!
… unless se decides to once again lock content behind it. i surely dont hope so…

Have been pugging Omega savages in what's basically my first "difficult" savage content (E9S's a joke). We're probably the first PUG on Aether to have cleared O4S and O8S and we're currently in P2 of O12S. And we're running reclears because we have more than 8 players. This has been a lot of fun – partially because it's been silencing some of the big mouths who are fast at dismissing others', but slow at matching accomplishments. And I don't even have the morbol mount (yet) đ

BLU: I have been enjoying solo-leveling BLU. Been enjoying it. Once I get the clear from stage 25, which has been unsuccessful, I can move on with the story & get upgraded wands.
BOZJA: I'm invested in Bozja & got to level 8 when the content first came out & never touch it since. I'm really upset because I wanted to to upgrade my relic to i510 but I cannot because I have to do Castrum & DR to get the next relic step. I was under the impression like so many players were, they we didnt have to the Bozja to work on the relic. Now that we have too, several people are upset including myself. SE changing that in mid stream wasnt very smart!!
My only disappointment upon the bozja stuff is knowing it will be another dead content item next expansion making it difficult to get those relics later.

I did the story stuff and have the quest for loathsome memories, but I haven't had the chance to even get one yet. And here you got all these try-hards that already have 15 Jobs worth of weapons before the first week's done!
I'm glad Chris made that macro. I've never really used macros before. So I took this one and tried it with the firmament crafting stuff and it worked well there too. I kind of gave up on last patch's skysteel tools because my success rate was abysmal. I didn't want to have to try crafting twice as much stuff just because of my failure rate. And honestly the macro is using powers that I never really used because doing the Firmament never really teaches you anything before you reach 80 and after that you kind of are set in your ways. đ
I don't think patch 5.5 gear is going to help much at all in terms of gear for DR savage because it's synced to 430 unlike other lvl 80 content. New lost actions and finished relic armor could help, but only time will tell if that's actually that impactful
Just going by the scenario people can get their relic or what not just by doing a quest and others having the option to "suffer" For theirs, like a time sync … Would make a lot of players rage. For the example ..
I DO like PVP, but I had to grind out many hours, wolf marks, etc, to get the Garo mounts and gear. If a new person, or even some one (lazy), can come along and just get the things I am actually doing the content for, would make me go ballistic. I am pretty sure I can not be the only one out there who feels like this.
Side note: I am aware that at the Gold Saucer you could spend MGP or what not, to get the busted, scarred up, ugly non-dyeable versions of the Garo gear. They were that horrid looking for a reason. Cowards gear. >;/
What is DR?
I'm enjoying Bozja so far especially since it let's me see how a job plays at its max lvl and at the same time leveling that job very quickly. I also just got back into Blue mage today. I used to be stuck at lvl 20 but getting 1000 needles was a game changer and now I'm absolutely enjoying it and was able to get more spells and levels
Any content that makes us do the same thing over and over for 2-3 months where the end result is irrelevancy by the time you're done is NOT worth it. Essentially, you spend a 1/4 to a 1/3 of a year of your life for a glamour piece.
It just seems to me everything in this patch is a downgrade Ilvl wise from what I have already the exception is the skytools. Just seems like a time sink for things I won't use.
Don't be surprised the last relic (glowy) Skysteel tool for crafting requires Expert Recipe crafting.

I wish I saw this video sooner, I agree. I'm back for Blue but sorta motivated to try Bozja again.
I think the savage DR is demanding a bit too much from the casual players. All the Bozja discord are asking people who join the raid to AT LEAST cleared E12S so the more casual(just want a clear) players are discouraged to join it.
I will give it maybe half a year for people to be able to guide a clear run or something so âfresh learningâ people can actually join and feel a bit safe that they wonât be losing tons of mettle when joining a run.
For me, my issue with the relic lies more with the method than the "time."
The grind isn't interesting, original, engaging, or difficult. It's kind of the worst of all worlds if that makes sense? I wouldn't be opposed to the first relic being a little bit easier, though to me relics were never something you intended to get 16 of them in a patch. So this idea of subsequent ones being a bit harder (not scaling up just not quite as welfare) isn't a terrible idea to me either.
More than anything I want some interesting grinds scattered in there or even minor challenges to go up against throughout the steps. Grinding Othard Fates or LV. 50 raids…it doesn't inspire much. It makes me feeling disconnected from this supposedly legendary artifact.
