The current design of Scholar really deserves an award for how incohesive its mechanics are.

  1. I like the changes overall. Fairies being unique, Fey gauge having a purpose beyond just Union fuel, AF being a Addersting mechanic, GCD healing seeing a return on investment rather than be a complete DPS loss. lots of good stuff.
I feel like GCD healing is in a dire need of being improved. they take up too many buttons for a healing type people would prefer to use during downtime only.

  2. Good changes though I would like to raise some points. I get sch's stuff mixed up a bit so bare with me if some of it is inaccurate

I admit I was a little confused on how sch's new aoe would turn out. Slap of war upgrading to shadowflare. Does shadowflare now act as art of war AND drop a puddle or just the puddle? if the latter does it have another move to use while the dots are ticking?

Miasma 2 if memory serves was aoe but 1 and 3 were not. Is this still the case?

A leveling suggestion: bring back rouse as a lower level version of Seraph. Since thats what seraph replaced only to be rubbish in shb/ew.
An ability suggestion: fester as a 30s cooldown gcd or ogcd attack. tbh im not sure why its still on summoner. It links with the poison theme.
Finally, aetherflow. I know it was removed, but what about sticking it back as a button to convert fae gauge-aetherflow or vice versa? I could see fae potentially overcapping in fights with little healing

  3. I overall liked all the changes you proposed because they sound new and exciting. My biggest hope if any developer catches these videos, is adding those rewards for GCD healing. I really love the idea of healing a low HP% ally giving a damage tool. I hope the Eukrasian Diagnosis mechanic is the starting point for the dev team to do more stuff like that.

Also I'm guessing with your proposed idea of the faerie following someone else can still come back to you with the pet commands right?

  4. I’m really loving these videos and hope the pop off sometime soon. You’ve literally read my mind on most of your suggestions here. Summoning the pet on someone, imitating SMN’s new unique pet actions…

One solution I’ve thought of for Cure 1, Physick, and the like rather than removing them however is merging them with Esuna by making Esuna a trait. It would still make Tier 1 healing spells very niche, but they’d have a clear use and simply replace one of your role action buttons.

  5. Great video. Definitely like some of the ideas behind the design… making the fairy feel more like your partner seems like a natural way to go.

I'm honestly not a huge fan of TBN-like "break the barrier" abilities. But, that could be because my only exposure to it is TBN. A longer duration on the barrier might make it feel better.

  6. SCH is the one job I just don't really feel like trying to fully learn. Idk why, and it's not that I don't know how to use it, I'm okay at best, but not terrible at worst xD It just doesn't feel engaging to me, and things feel disconnected. I wish they watched YOUR video tho, this are some legit good ideas.
