FFXIV Dawntrail’s first content patch is about to hit. Patch 7.1 promises to add a large amount of content, including some really impressive graphical updates! We also discuss the hilariously bad looking hairstyle, and try to understand what went wrong. Note that we are reading the preliminary patch notes here, and that the full notes are expected to release on the day of the patch.

really surprised how many great qol features there are again this patch!
i'm disappointed but it's unsurprising the housing update removes all items, guess i won't be fixing my alt's fc room that got slightly messed up when we moved to Mist anytime soon :/ i worked really hard on it and really am not keen on re-doing all that work!
maybe if they let us increase the size of apartments somehow i'll do it.

IMO the new hairstyle looks like Vayne Solidor hairstyle from FF12 so I'm stoked
My hair currently looks like the artist's rendition of the hair they bungled! Down to the lightening of the ends too. It's 4C, low porosity, fyi, and I took my twists out before I went to work yesterday. I didn't find out about it until I was at work yesterday and had time to look at the reddit thread. I listened to the podcast this weekend but was busy at work and couldn't look at the phone when y'all were talking about it. I thought it was one of the other designs when i skimmed the patch notes.
My character has my face and this is the only game I have EVER been able to do that in. Usually I can't make anything remotely close, if there's even an option. It would have been really really cool if it could have my current hair too. I Appreciate the comments from everyone, especially Maela's and G'yorgy. Seeing it was surreal, but such is life?

So the problem I have with 'modern' glams is they look like shit I can get at the mall or local ski shop or whatever, and that's just … boring? Like there's not even a FF twist on them a lot of the time. At least make them interesting?
