  1. I like the whip and cross bow. But I'm thinking more like a flail whip like Castlevania style and to add. It would make it easy to make it a style like rdm where they would build up with whip attacks to release a powerful crossbow attack.

  2. I really like your idea for the sin slayer and i like your concept about some Sin Eaters remaining in the first. I like the idea for a whip weapon like Quisits from FF8 great video hope to see more <333

  3. I don't think we're getting a ranged or caster job because I remember hearing Yoshi P state that they consider both to be in the category of "ranged" jobs and thats why we got a melee job in 6.0 but your Sin Slayer idea is too brilliant. It would be a great counterpart to Reaper and the lore is perfect considering where the Warrior of Light may go in the 6.X series and possibly 7.0

  4. Interesting picks. I'd really like to see those weapons.

I'd think a juggler kind of job could be an interesting concept for ffxiv as well unfortunately that job is already an existing one. I had a different idea that is influenced by the juggler but special enough to be on its own.
    Let me introduce the performer.
The performer is a very agile job using scouting gear and for weapons they could use whips, throwing knives or other juggling tools.
They'll perforrm stunts to thrill their allies and irritate their enemies being able to attack from range and melee. Their gauge is the performance gauge which when it's filled will enable them to active the performance mode. During performance mode their normal GCD skills change into perform skills. Different combinations will have different effects (think of a mix of dances and mudras).

AF gear would be circus inspired mostly light clothes for flexibility and agility.

  5. I really like your idea of Sin Slayer. Only problem with the lore might be the timeline. I don't think we started finding a real cure for the light infection/tempering until 5.2. Although iirc staying out of the primordial light directly would slow the change in their bodies; so maybe the Sin Slayers before us would have to use traps and lures to hunt Sin Eaters while sticking to what little shade is available and still appear lore accurate.

Your Pirate idea of summoning spirits is similar to GW2's Revenant profession (my main in that game). In that game however the spirits we use are referred to as "legends" and we attune and swap them as stances and have unique utility abilities while attuned to different legends; similar to how current SMN phases.

  6. Great speculation video like the last one! I really hope we get another phys. ranged since then i would have a bit more variety there and balancing 4 jobs might easier than 3 especially when talking about a sort of "support/dps hybrid" category such as phys. ranged.

Out of the 2 ideas you showed i would take the "sin slayer". Mainly because of the possible cool looking glams. And the backstory you gave them sounds really intersting.

  7. Man, Pirate is really cool but you really got me with the Sinslayer and the Lore Implications! It would be so awesome, but the I thought "they have to lock it behind 5.0 msq then, ppl would not like it" and then I remembered that the new job acquiring level is indeed lvl 80 so maybe they theoretically could do a job based on the first!! I would be so excited!

  8. A privateer like Francis Drake would make a great class for 7.0 if the New World is the next major focus mirroring our own world hiring pirates to explore and fight enemies in the New World and I can actually think of a few a few person in story that could place a role in the Job Quest. It would be cool if that Spirit Gauge had a davy Jones locker feel to it

  9. The first concept sounds far fetched. You should likely look toward classic final fantasy jobs not yet in the game for future jobs. Chemist, arithmetician, time mage and geomancer to name a few. Your second concept is feasible since pirate is actually a real job

  10. Such a great idea on the Sin Slayer as lore and play style can be really fun! it remind me of Worgen from Wow or hero of the storm and how they can change from human (range) to Worgen (melee). Keep up the great work!

  11. Dyslexia is a bitch man. I almost had a stroke reading the title, I haven’t played since Kaiten got removed. Lmfao I thought there was a new expansion job announcement or something, I started looking for Female Hroth news updates instantly 😂

  12. I definitely think a whip/chain weapon would work well in scouting gear if it was semi-mobile where the 1-2-3 is ranged but they need to move in close for other skills. Having a phase built around melee would be one way to force the job into close range.

  13. Love the idea of Sinslayer.
Pirate could have cannons to call on. Flame breath (rum and fire). Mug like the Ninja as utility. A harpoon gun as gap closer. Walking the plank or keelhawing for LB3. Faster swimming like Ninja has faster walking. Sneak attacks that do more damage from behind, with ranged possibility.

  14. Doubt they will do another Physical ranged Job in 7.0, They always make 1 Melee/Tank and 1 Healer/Caster/Pranged (Ranged) Considering we've always had a somewhat balance between Ranged and close jobs (9 Close / 10 Ranged), I really don't think they will had 2 ranged jobs.

I think generally we will get a caster over any phys ranged, generally because we haven't had a new caster job for a while, last one was red mage in stormblood, the second Job will likely be a tank.

  15. "Wow that doesn't sound like something the worrior of light would even consider doing huh" I mean, Rogue isn't exacly the most reputable thing to be either for a "warrior of light", and same could be said I would argue of Reaper, so probably not much of an issue. As for the job itself, it does fill an aesthetic niche I think is currently unfilled, and I think the idea of calling upon the spirists of pirates passed is a good way of giving it a unique flair, plus it's the concept is begging for limsa piracty lore exploration. I would comment on the Sin Slayer, but I started playing back in August and have only recently reached Stormblood ;-;

  16. Considering RDM exists, a phys melee/ranged hybrid doesn't sound like it'd be too far-fetched. Sin hunter sounds epic af, but feels a bit too close to Reaper esthetics-wise

  17. I think caster is a good option for a new job since there hasn’t been one since stormblood
I would love to see a phys range class that can drop items on the map for party members to use. Things like shields/med packs but also things that’d deal damage to the enemies. These would require upkeep of running back to them to “repair” before the timer runs out. Kinda like a combat mechanic

  18. I like the idea of a Sin Slayer in a kind of Bloodborne/Castlevania sense with the whip and the "he who fights monsters" aesthetic. Maybe lore wise it could be like a band of survivors from a pocket of the First that was otherwise isolated by the light and is only now able to return to the Novrandt we visited. When I think of jobs that would make sense using Scouting gear or at least what triggers the idea of "Scout" in my mind, wandering Ranger-esque classes defending the fringes of society from monsters are generally what I come up with. I also just love my edgy bois.

As for another Phys Ranged: Grenadier. I have no other input on how it works other than pelting the enemy with bombs and RPing as Nashu would be amazing.
