I’m glad you’re optimistic, Cole, because I’m not being optimistic about this patch. BU3 has been treating these FF14 Endwalker patches like FF16 has come along and “what even is FF14?” even though FF14 has been being a huge contributor to SE’s revenues.
I recently went back through the patch notes to look at previous expansion patches and it just hit me so hard that we used to get SOOOO MUCH! I still log in and do things because I love the game and I want something to do, but I find myself just getting bored and standing around my FC yard.
They have confirmed it was tomestones again in a previous interview…this relic expansion is really depressing
Love your channel but I'm not loving the game anymore.
I seriously can't wait to not bother with crappy criterion dungeons & their non existent rewards.
I don't blame 16 personally, but the lack of big grind content like bozja is a hell of a shame IMO & not worth the swap with criterion…
But that's just me. 🤷
That's a Shamisen that the rat is holding, NOT a Lute, though the bubbles next to it do indeed show Lutes.

I'm honestly so confused with this expansion's relic weapons. I started this game in post ShB patches so I had a few relics to get all at once, and they were all super long and grindy and- yes- annoying at times- but it felt rewarding for doing it. But this expansion is literally just 'use your passive currancy'….that's it? I hope it goes uphill from here and they actually give us something to work towards but…dang.
No way! It feels like release of the patch was no more than a month ago.

At this point just turn the relics into tomestone weapons. Cuz that is what they are. They are not special, they are not earned, they're just a boring number upgrade.

Even if the loot doesn't end up being worthwhile, I'm still looking forward to the new criterion dungeon, I really enjoyed the last one.
