  1. That dungeon made me miss the good ol' FFXI days, most of the ennemies and even the area come from FFXI salvage event.
Almost made me install it again. Soon on the 16th of May, it is the 20th anniversary of FFXI, I'm hopeful we will get some news for a game that shaped who I am today

  2. That voidsent in the end is Zenos' voidsent avatar. Possibly his shard from 13th or our, since we dreamt of it. Also, the black knight & 4 elemental thrones is Golbez and the Four Fiends from FFIV. BTW if you do all ShB role quests + bonus. You get another callback along with Unukalhai.

  3. Here's an idea, what if we can secure an area within the 13th, and can use that area to open portals to all the other shards, could end up as a nexus point allowing people to travel from shard to shard 😀

  4. This will probably be the trial series for EW … since I did not play any other FF games … I can only go on what others talked about but this seems to continue the EW theme of homage to ff4 with the Knight being a antagonist from the game called Golbez and the 4 thrones would be the 4 fiends under him in that game …
I wonder if the new trials will be actually part of the MSQ like during ARR this time instead of a separate side story …. am looking forward to the continuation …

  5. A lot of people think the return of Zenos's reaper avatar means Zenos is back.

But my theory is a bit different. I genuinely believe Zenos is dead (though an echo or a shade of him may persist if/when we fight this avatar later like a reverse reaper), and what's more, I think Zenos's reaper avatar is none other than Zemus, the chief puppetmaster and antagonist of Final Fantasy IV.

  6. if you did this patch as a reaper you will have additional dialog from yshtola acknowledging that currently you are in a "contract" with a voidsent, also the 5 characters in the 13th are as follows, throne of earth = Scarmiglione, throne of fire = Rubicante, throne of wind = Barbarricia, throne of water = Cagnazzo/Kainazzo, and the knight in black = Golbez, they are characters from ff4, just like how we change job from dark knight to paladin in shadowbringers to endwalker, Golbez brother is Cecil the protagonist of ff4 he started as a Dark Knight then later in the game job change to Paladin, much of the plot for endwalker are plot points from ff4 so this revelation is a happy surprise, my theory is by 7.0 we will be going to meracydia, maybe to research for how to stabilize a portal big enough for vrtra to be able to pass tru to 13th, then in 8.0 we will journey to the 13th.

  7. It's pretty common knowledge that nearly every mob and the whole anesthetic of the dungeon are pulled right from FFXI. However, what alot of folk miss is that the final boss is a clever reuse of Susano's assets.

  8. I think I have only seen 2 people reacting noticing that's Zenos' voidsent, which was never explained in MSQ

The Reaper job quests tells you about how Reapers "make a deal" with a Voidsent in order to obtain their powers, so even since I saw Zenos' I was wondering who this creature was meant to be, cuz if they wanted to just make Zenos a Reaper and not explain anything, they could have just used the same model for the player's voidsent or have Zenos' just have the powers because they just wanted him to have a scythe

  9. That thing at the end is Zenos’ avatar, severed from him and returned home to the Thirteenth
Zenos is dev-confirmed dead (for real this time)
Used up all his strength fighting us, lost at the edge of the universe, devs even specifically noted that they put in a shot of him no longer breathing to say that he’s dead dead
They said they can’t tell us the details about his avatar, and now we know why, it’s because the first new leg of the story is tackling the Thirteenth

  10. Unrelated to the video – is that an Aegis t-shirt you are wearing Quazii? Did you go to a Dota TI at some point? Also, Nabhdeen is a bro. He will may not fill the void of the Satrap, but he will make a strong replacement.
