  1. do not worry, this one make me question my IQ too, and it's not my first time XD

Edit: if there's one thing all bosses shared, it's that they all bait us with at least one mechanic.

  2. I missed out on doing the alliance raid day one because it was locked way into the MSQ so when I got to it on day two we actually didn't wipe on a single boss because at least some of the people there knew the mechanics. When SE compared this raid to the first tier of Ivalice I can totally see it because honestly I found the first Nier raid more difficult in that groups actually were wiping on certain fights into the second week as well as the fights taking a lot longer because the bosses were super spongy for a first tier. The question for me is if the difficulty will continue to scale in the same way as the Ivalice raids as the first one really wasn't all that bad but the second one had mechs that would kill you and the third one was killing folks all the way up until they added echo to it and STILL people fail at the Thunder God fight. All they need to do to ruin a bunch of people's days is put in mechanics that split the responsibility of the raid into multiple groups and then make it so that if one group fails then it wipes the entire raid. THEN, we can call this the successor to the Ivalice raids as far as difficulty goes.

  3. This 24 man so far is so good. And we go straight to the bosses with 4 in each one. Great change imo. There really is no reason to have trash (unless there's a great lore reason. Like for Nier we fought a lot of the Nier robots as mobs, which is fine. ), rather just have 4 bosses.

  4. I did with a group going full blind, it was great seeing a gigantic pack of people dying together every single time xD
We only wiped thrice though, once to Rhalgrs knockback, another one to Rhalgrs meteorite smash, and last one to balance. Loved every second of it!

  5. Ah, the new raid is so much fun, honestly. I can't even be mad when I die since the music is so good XD

PS: Some of us did do it blind but some of the mechanics used were done in Bozja. It just hurts way less now XD

  6. I noticed for multiple bosses they're adding tank AOE busters after mechanics that require entire party to reposition. Adds a lot of tension for party to figure out who should move

  7. I am loving 6.1 & the Alliance Raid so much. I am shamelessly gushing, but the AR is probably my favorite so far & the MSQ is great. It has so much potential & Really feels like the start of a new story, complete with all the excited anticipation of a new adventure. Yet it doesn't forget or Lessen everything that you've done getting there ❤

  8. This is perfectly normal, don’t worry. 😁 It’s got nothing to do with IQ and everything to do with, move before you can think. 😅 Just go by instinct. And when all else fails, follow the party. 🤣 And after many a death, eventually, you succeed. Jokes aside, I go into every new raid expecting to spend 70% of the time on the floor. Over time it gets better lol. Hopefully….. 😳 Thanks for sharing your fun experience!

  9. jebaited 🙂
Have you done Ex yet? Thats also lovely fight…

btw, you have to look what head is active to do mechanics at last boss. Nald has blue lights crown(blue mechanics), Thal is golden, red crown(red mechanics).

  10. This alliance raid is incredible.
Whether its actually better than Nier though, we'll have to wait untill all stages are out. Not to mention Nier was still popular after EW releaee. In the end, the Glamour potential will be what if a raid pertains its relevance.
But so far so raid is pure majestic 🔥

  11. I had so much fun doing this blind with my FC. I spent half the time dead and the other half oom rezzing the healers for all three alliances lol
The FC VC was chaotically fun xD

  12. I think this is the first time I’ve seen you in such chaos Quazi and I can relate to it! Otherwise this raid is just purely amazing. The fights, landscapes, music, boss design, and so on. Everything was just on another level so kudos to SE for giving us this amazing content :))

  13. bait and switch mechanics remind me of the kefka fight, you think the attack is going where the marker is but its the safe spot thats not a safe spot that the attack is actually hitting.

  14. Every boss was so unique, I loved every chaotic minute. I brought my scholar in on launch day and, along with the healers in Alliance A, we dragged the group over the finish line with zero wipes, somehow. Nothing feels more big-brained than solving a mechanic 19 other people die to. Yes I'm bragging I'm only a green parser let me have this :V
