I really don't understand why people are so fixated on having more damage.
Why can't you just trust them? They don't want to make it so low that you can't kill bosses… Just work with what you have on the job you enjoy and stop comparing damage. It's only creates stress.
So reapers are the point of reference for dps balance then.

hopefully smn gets a small dmg buff, reapers raid wide buffs are nerfed, mch gets its dmg buffed, and drk becomes fun

I like the idea of buffing something that isn't up to par instead of nerfing what is ahead at the moment. The experience stays the same for those who play whatever is ahead and gets massively improved for those that don't.
I wouldn't like them to overbuff things though and return to a state like before the stat squish. Having to actually see mechanics from older dungeons instead of just blazing through them due to overleveled gear, feels nice.
My sound is so awful to play, I'm hoping they fix it with this patch. Sighs.

Solo casual players who never touch any type of savage raids can attest that none of this matters. It’s the hardcore raiders that care about meta classes that are screaming like little babies about buffs.
So i guess DRK will get some tuning in later patch.
People cry about DRK, MNK seem to forget DRG in the game
Not surprised, the number crunching they did probably messed some of the things up. But RPR being stronger does seem a bit unexpected, the job does flow well though.
They better be coming out with DRK changes
They already said the new servers are coming the 25th, and the .08 patch is always week 4 of savage.
"not nerf the strong thing, buff the other things" is something that I've heard too many times in the gaming industry. Yeah, I've been playing XIV for *years*, but color me skeptical nonetheless.
This is a balance patch so don't expect any design changes, e.g. reworking DRK. It will most likely be only numbers changes. Any bigger changes won't be until 6.1, but even then the big requests are not guaranteed to happen. Some jobs are still dealing with design problems that are multiple expansions old and still not fixed.

My hopes are drk getting a buff to make it easier to deal with in dungeons and Astro slight dps or rdps increase since it’s below the other healers in both types of dps. The rest of the jobs feel fine to me but will appreciate the dps increase on blm

I wish for a DRG revamp bad. Too many buffs imo. Dragon sight is clunky and lance charge is just annoying and boring. Give me a proper gap closer please. A dragoon should never run anywhere…
