  1. I miss old school mmos. If they gave us FFXI classic set in Chains of Promathia or Treasures of Aht Urgan 75 cap era, I’d play it over 14. Only sub to 14 to play story content every few patches

  2. I was too young to play when FF11 came out, but when I got into 14, reading about that 18 hour raid was insane. Makes me appreciate all the fights in 14 that I thought ran a little too long.

  3. The first walk is a reference to how you would get to level 20, then basically have to walk from limsa to ishgard to continue to level up. except mobs don't de-aggro, once you get aggro along the way, you probably died. The name of the town you were going to is Jeuno. But yea, you were level 20, and trying to sneak by mobs that were level 30-50, without a mount.

  4. AV never caused anyone to get sick or play for over 18 hours. Nobody could've attempted to fight AV for that long because on the off chance you had managed to bring it to bracelets phase, chances are your entire group would instantly die, that is until the level cap was raised or unless your group used a cheese to kill it in less than a minute. The boss that did that was Pandemonium Warden, and the only reason it happened is that players engaged it in an unintended way and were forcing the fight to loop back over and over basically infinitely because they hadn't figured out the correct way to fight it and kept throwing bodies at it instead. Imagine the DSR time loop if a whole FC could keep throwing bodies at it to survive indefinitely and keep making it happen over and over, and since it was very difficult to get the items to make it spawn to begin with, people just didn't want to give it up. It was not designed to be like that at all.

  5. The fight doesn't last anything near that once they finally understood the mechanics. It was just insanely hard to figure out cause he was insanely hard to even reach.

He was in the end game area that most people couldn't even get too. Then you had to fight all the jailers and when you kill the last one. Which was already really difficult and only the top 5 linkshells could beat it. He spawns immediately.

We even worked together with all our fierce rivals just to try and he murdered us all in less than 2 minutes. Over 80 people from the top guilds were swept away like we were nothing cause we didn't know what to do
