  1. Oh my god! You're telling me they have an entire development team just to remake FF14 from the ground up… There is no way this isn't going to effect devolpment of the main game. This is probably why patch content is way longer apart and why they have the new B team working on the game since post EW. They split the team up for FF16 and now the main guys like the lead writer is gone to work on some mystery project. This is all starting to make sense with the drop in quality and why so many people are quitting FF14. Square Enix make the worst desicions. When I heard FF14 mobile I thought this would be a runescape thing where its just a copy paste job. Same game but nerf the graphics and make a mobile interface. Something to do a bit of crafting on the train to work on your main account. Either way I think they are going to have to monitize the game way more to make up for develpoment costs. I'm absolutly shocked… This company makes me feel crazy

  2. I am EXTREMELY wary of mobile games. Especially ones based on beloved PC franchises. Diablo Immortal is still my goto example of this. Especially since that predatory monetization model has now made it into mainline Diablo.

  3. I was expecting this to start at 1.0. It would've been a great opportunity to let the vast majority of current players experience that part of the story for the first time.
If it had 1.0, I would've been all in on replaying it since that's impossible to do currently. I think that would've been a big draw. Seems like a really stupid decision. Not interested.

  4. It's a separate game. It's a mobile game. Mobile games are heavily monetized. FFXIV players don't have to play it at all, nor should they even have to worry about it. Why would anyone who play FFXIV want to play another version of it anyway? MMOs are an investment. Basically another life.
