This is a guitar that is starting to grow on me – but at a $3500 price point – it seems it is definitely geared more so towards fans of the show!

  1. Looks-wise… its kind of boring. The blue on one corner and the purple on the horn is just bugging me. We ran out of purple paint! Just use blue. Bad news we ran out of blue paint now. Hmmm ok just sell it as is.

  2. Damnit! I must have been living under a rock. I didn’t even know about the Asuka Tele. That interests me more than the Final Fantasy Strat. Will have to dig out your video on it.

  3. Now they're making guitars based on video games? I'm sure this isn't the first time. They must be trying to appeal to a younger audience but maybe not. Can a younger audience really afford a Signature guitar? I wouldn't purchase a guitar fashioned after a video game if it was practically free. It's not that I don't like video games but it seems like a hokie way to try to market guitars. There's so many other cool guitars out there. Why buy one modeled after a video game? What do I know? I'm sure somebody out there wants them. But if I could buy that new Gibson White Custom SG with the antique gold hardware and the Sideways or Maestro tremolo bar for $6,700, I'd buy that before I bought any silly looking Final Fantasy guitar. Does the guitar come with its own controller? Final Fantasy? As opposed to what? Primary Fantasy? Hahaha.

  4. Who knows? Maybe they'll start selling those guitars at GameStop. Why stop with Final Fantasy? Why not make a Mortal Kombat guitar, or a Galaxion guitar? They could make a whole set of Mortal Kombat guitars for each character in the video game. How about an Asteroids or Centipede guitar? Maybe even a Halo guitar. Good luck reselling those someday. But again, what do I know? But as I mentioned, most people into Anime may not be able to afford an expensive Signature guitar. To each his own. Don't forget the Space Invaders guitar.

  5. The Paul,..of PRS himself has basically stated that he's a believer that guitars should age through playing experience and not from the factory. he more interested in selling something thats aesthetically perfect off the line then following this industry trend with his own namesake company. So I don't anticipate this trend moving to PRS. I personally think some relics look absolutely cool and others are just overdone and 'too much"! and thats what's wrong with that particular PRS Silver Sky. Its actually a difficult finish theme to accomplish as even with some of the Fenders, if you look closely at the "wear" on those guitar its looks more like some type of air brushing thats on top of the finish rather than having many gouges or being faded or removed from years of say,.sunlight, cigarette smoke and playing ect ect . The Fender shop does do "checking" and some blemishes but not to many actual "dings, and or bruises" that again,.gouge into th finish. People hate on relics but $4000 for a relic'd repro 64 Strat is cheaper than paying $24,000 plus for an actual 64. Yet,.so in that vain I wound be surprised if some interposing person started a relic aftermarket service for the PRS Silver Sky,..its an untapped market !

  7. FF fans are particularly rabid. I've only played a couple of games but really love the franchise. (Just more of a PvP person than RPG, don't have the attention span.) I would buy that guitar in a heartbeat if I had an extra 3500 lying around.

  8. I think this videos work to try keeping high Guitar prices. Is absurd, the music bussines is dead for real musicians. The Guitar has pass to a irelevant position because there is no more legendary banda keeping the status of the Guitar as “ Clapton is god”, a historia that define a special momen in ones life. Even the last of the bonifide musicians are selling their instruments on reverb. I cant Belive that ha a crap of Guitar videogame its gonna get high in price for what? I lo e Music, but i dont belive Guitar price are gonna get up like a inversion. That is not a Rea son to but a guitar. This is like a stupid comercial.

  10. Eh, final fantasy hasn’t had a good game in years, and the remake of 7 doesn’t count. Last game I beat was 13 and the story was just completely retarded. Looked nice, but just convoluted and dumb. $3000+ for a mij standard strat? An incredibly overpriced guitar for an overrated franchise.

  11. The 1987 Stratocaster made at the FugiGen Plant in Matsumoto Japan made for Fender Squire was moved after one year from Japan to YANKO Taiwan. 1985-1986 Stratocaster made for Fender in Korea with plywood was moved back to FujiGen Matsumoto Japan because the Americans returned the plywood body guitars and then after the two failures Fender found a cheap guitar factory in YANKO Taiwan and that’s where the Squire Fender Stratocaster is made.

  13. You don’t know me and I’ve never played a guitar in my life, order as many as you can from Japan, you well double your money by Christmas. Just saying. Listen to the final fantasy 14 soundtrack if you don’t believe me. You can play instruments in game and it sounds decent. Like 10 million people play this game worldwide.

  14. Heyyo! Cool to see the shoutout to Manchester Music Mill, they've been my local music shop since I was in middle school, so it's awesome to see how they've grown.

I scored a lefty Japanese Orville Les Paul from them when I graduated high school and she's been my top guitar ever since.
