The Dragons of FFXIV have always fascinated me, with their evolution being one of my favourite aspects.

Evolution of Dragonkind – FFXIV Lore Explored
Thank you so much for watching this video.
My channel is focused on player perspective content, gameplay, theories and importantly game lore for Final Fantasy XIV.
As this channel has grown my goals have evolved but ever do they remain the same, the creation of videos that mean to bring a smile to a viewer’s face or provide them with even one piece of useful information.
I mean to live up to these goals and the time you have taken to watch my content.

You made me super hyped for Meracydia to get to know more of dragons!
I'm curious, where did you learn all of this?
Dragons are my favorite species, thank you!
This is an important video for people needing to understand dragons of FFXIV. It's often overlooked, and incredibly relevant.
the coeurl dragon is the best dragon. the 1st boss of the final coil of bahamut; Imdugud is a coeurl dragon which lived in meracydia and evolved without wings to suit the densely forrected continent!
also you missed one: the bipedal dragon Giruveganaus from stone vigil hard. it has two powerful front arms/legs and strong jaw that spits hot fire, and powerful lungs. where do u think he evolved from? me? from brobinyak.
10/10 vid
Very enjoyable video and overlooked lore about dragon.
I'm actually shocked a regular dragon won't grow into a wyrm eventually.
I just realize that if Ehil tou continue to evolve she will probably become more and more human like
This whole idea of dragons quickly adapting to their surroundings has always been super fascinating. Although I was kinda hoping you would also go into the evolution of the various dragonkin that the heretics who drink dragonblood turn into.
Regardless of gender they can asexually reproduce….. Ok maybe that logic can explain dragon eggs in Spyro as well because in the first game they just exist and get something in the third but still maybe it could. Dragons in any game are all alien lol
Hmmm. Ran'jit's dragon and his dad's own that's an A rank hunt, while on the first are similar to the Falak type in build. Makes me wonder how dragon kinds on the first came to be……..
Verge Dragons…. Two come to mind, the one in Coils and the other in the Alma'ja dungeon from 5.5.
Ell Tou…. Next time she grows she'll be like the dragons of Spyro, able to stand up better on her back legs, lol, she's like an Artisan Dragon in a way both figuratively and literally, lols.
I keep comparing the dragons of 14 to Spyro. XD
I really like this video but saying they evolve sounds really rough to a biology student. Individuals don't evolve, only populations do. What I think would be more appropriate to say here is develop or differentiate.
I get that this is more in the Pokemon evolution sense where one creature can gain wholly different body structures like gaining or losing limbs or having very different types of wings etc.
If encyclopedia eorzea uses that term tho I suppose it's the correct one
