  1. This video is very good for novices, will probably share in some discords!
There are some inaccuracies though here and there, most notable is that meteodrive always does full damage no matter whether it breaks guard or not, the tooltip is basically a translation slip up

  2. I've been playing the game for a few years and did my first pvp ever last night. It is the most actively unpleasant and offputting mess I have ever experienced in 14. It's far worse than I ever imagined it would be and what I imagined kept me away from it for over 6800 hours.

  3. How do you deal with the awful tab targeting? I changed to cone like people suggest but it still tab targets to enemies far out of range, instead of ones close to me (that I can actually attack) Other's say to click on the person but when they're moving with possibly 10+ other allied/enemy targets it's not always feasible.

  4. Ill type it.
NERFS NEEDED to = DRG, NIN and DRK.
DRG and NIN have wayyyy too strong shielding. (not talking about just simply being a Melee class)
DRK reduce the fuckin SUCC! that shit pulls you in from wayyyyy too far.

  5. If you’re new to CC. Play white mage. Spam your LB that generates WAY too quickly. Use miracle of nature on whoever your team is attacking. Profit.

    Job is fucking broken.

  6. They definitely need to do some balancing on pvp. Buffs and nerfs for certain jobs and also balance the matchmaking for both teams. Its really hard for solo player to rank up if constantly paired with random players.

  7. Astro had the AoE CC nerfed almost a year ago, it now only does crowd control to the main target. Couple of other minor incorrections but I value the video for being a good general source of info so well done!

  8. As a Frontline fanatic i have to say Gunbreaker is so underrated I cannot express how strong and deadly it can get. Unlike other tanks GNB is very independent and flexible. Depending on your play style you can Junction according to the situation you are in which is charming to me. Being aware of your surroundings to know when’s the time to throw all your burst to get a kill or two or back off.
Not to mention that Relentless Rush + Double Down is a guaranteed kill if you have BH 2 or higher.

    Great video!
    Keep up the good work.

  9. One important thing to know about Dragoon limit break is that even though you become untargettable after using the limit break, you can still take damage.
If enemy Dragoon is softlocked on you before you use your limit break, they can still hit you with Wyrmwind Thrust for example while you are in your LB animation.
Rule of thumb from experience, never use your limit break if you are under 20% hp. You will die so often and waste your lb completely.

  10. For GNB, the statement that the "GNB is the least durable of the tanks" is somewhat misleading. You're correct in that they NEED to be in Tank Junction but once they are, they are the hardest tank to kill. On top of the shields gained from Continuation and Hypervelocity, you get a 20% mitigation that deals damage to enemies that hit you. No other Tank has constant shield build and an applied mitigation that lasts for 10 seconds that threatens counter kills on a single button press.

In contrast, PLD has a measley hp shield that can be bursted through, WAR needs to land Orogeny which can miss (meaning players outside will hit you for 100% damage) and DRK has Salted Earth but has to stay in position to use it, meaning knockbacks, pulls and fears completely negate the mitigation.

  11. Corrections(I made a couple of mistakes):

    Dark Knight:
    – Accidentally said plunge prevents healing when I meant reduces

    Paladin:
    – I forgot to mention that their shield also give a mitigation

    Astro:
    – I forgot their aoe was changed it now only inflicts cc on the initial target

    Monk:
Less of a mistake, and more something that was brought to my attention Their lb tooltip is apparently wrong(or it's just bugged), and it will do max damage even if the target is guarding

Please let me know of any other mistakes so I can update this comment.
