So, since you're relatively new to the game, I can tell you this without spoiling: The ending is the reveal of the new Ultimate Difficulty Raid, which is in reference to the 4.x 8-man raid series
Ultimate Raids are the most difficult end-game content in the game (Introduced in patch 4.3). The one that came out recently took about 6 days for it to be cleared ONCE; that was about a 22 minute fight in a complete run…and these are pain to even unlock.
Thankfully the game has plenty of things to do.
