oh boy wait until you guys hit SHB + the eden fights AND then go to EW
Man, I've only ever done Castrum the one time during MSQ. Now I feel like I need to revisit it, because in my mind nothing beats fighting Nidhogg.
I had to do Tsukuyomi's extreme 99 times because my luck with mount drops was horrible. Even after that, I still love that fight and will do it anytime someone wants. Music, visuals, and mechanics all just came together perfectly.
Honestly hope you guys do the 4 lords questline. You get 3 trials and 2 dungeons, all of which would be worthy additions!
Aesthetic preferences beside, Tsukuyomi's design and mechanics are an encapsulation of her entire story arc. She's got the darkness of night as well as the pure light of the moon.
Lol'd at "Chikita Banana Logo" dig.
you guys have great bants this video
S tier content
For magnetic mechanics, all you have to remember is opposites attract. Then you just decide where to repel or attract to avoid whatever damage possibilities there are (AoEs or damaging perimeter).
“Epic and sad” pretty much yep.
Funny how you bring up how "Worm's Tail" had that climactic section with the StB motif because I was so uninterested in the expansion's music until that part of the Shinryu theme started. Something about how that felt like such a final moment in the game brought tears to my eyes.
Susano was the first fight in the game where, when I finished, went back and queued for it over and over because it was just that fun.
I don't know if you guys noticed, but the Susano arena has some amazingly cool effects!
During the part where Susano first erupts from the water, the rain around you freezes mid air! And when he finally swings his sword down he cracks the arena into two parts. Then once he comes back out from the water the rain continues to pour but much more violently this time. It was so awesome seeing how the terrain itself changed based on the actions of the boss.
lady of bliss is a primal that throws her influence around like candy so her design makes since to be a beautiful woman
Tsukuyomi is the boss that's really cool at first but then you start farming extreme for a wolf…. and then you hate it for how long the 'Story' bits last in it. Which is why…. SE don't do that kind of stuff anymore. At least in extreme
you may know this already, but many arenas change compledly when played in extreme; you should REALLY play shinryu ex – you will love
I'm froth and foaming at the the mouth to see the boys come back to this wall when they eventually catch up to current content. 😀
approaching shadowbringers which is hands down the best rpg story in gaming and endwalker just being the perfect bow that ties the entire first season of ff14 together into a satisfying conclusion in 6.0. with 6.1 being the start of season 2.
Something cool about the Susano fight is that during the first phase its drizzling rain, in the 2nd phase with the giant sword the rain is suspended in mid air and in the 3rd phase its full on lightning storm pouring rain.
Still disagree with you guys massively on Singularity reactor. It's one of those that's really cool the first few times you do it, and then its luster wears off and its just a really, really long dungeon.
idk if you guys knew this, but you can't get 8 man trials in levelling roullettes. the reason u can get normal navel, bowl of embers, and howling eye is because they're 4 man instances instead of the typical 8.
My favorite thing a about these two excellent dudes, is that they aren't always just agreeing with each other.
My favorite expansion is next and I'm so excited to see your guys reaction! Get hyped!
I am glad to have been your co-tank for Tsukiyomi Garret! Nice to be on the top of the list in fights… so far!
Regarding the snake people hate, I wonder how Garrett feels about kangaroos 😀
Yo that's a solid tier list. Excited for what's to come
I'll fight you guys for Emanation. I think it's a really good fight and the music is good. It's not just an 'avoid-the-AoE' fight like many others before it.
Also, I'll defend the boss aesthetics, not all bosses mimic their summoning race, there is an idea of how the primal looks coming from the religion. Titan looks nothing like Kobalds. Ifrit looks nothing like the Amaljaa. Garuda looks nothing like the Ixali, and Leviathan looks nothing like the Sahagin. Susano looks nothing like the Kojin.
The only primal that has gotten really close to their summoning race's appearance is Ravana.
editing is soooo good
"maybe not the best", one got turned into a solo duty, and the other is going to be turned into a solo duty.
over all, I'm agreeing with your list.
Also can't wait for the optional trials list, because three of my favorite trials, and my favorite (Spoiler Monster) fight are Storm Blood Optional Trials.
Hints: Tiger, Japanese Fire Casino Music Bird, and Monster hunting.
Garrett lookin kinda scraggly there bro!
