  1. Just in time, brewing my morning ☀️ Coffee ☕️ for Coffee with Quazii.
Main as a PLD at 74. But also leveling a BLM 75 which been MSQing a lot. Should be working in my 53 DK to bring him up and even all three in level. But I definitely be playing Reaper in Endwalker. But excited for the expansion. Already got launch week days off from work.

  2. I dunno if they'll be doing any surprise announcements, the previous battle system live letters for prior expansions also got live translations. They usually reserve live translations for big/important promotional stuff like this, mostly I think because live translations makes the presentations take twice as long. We might see some broader changes to the battle system in general, besides the already announced stat squish and removal of belts. The Shadowbringers battle system live letter announced the removal of TP, the charge system for abilities, removal of damage penalties and defense buffs for tank stances, the indicator for interruptible boss casts, and probably some other minor stuff I'm forgetting. We will also probably get a look at basic gameplay for Reaper and Sage, but they typically do not show complete ability lists or tooltips for any job at this point.

As for specific changes, I'm not convinced that Summoner will get a significant rework, since we already know that it still has egis from the benchmark. Egi glamours has basically been a long running joke for a long time now, Yoshi says they're working on it only for it to never come, so I don't put too much stock in talk about large-scale changes to Summoner. I would certainly appreciate a rework though.

I think that Monk might get some pretty significant updates since it's 5.4 changes left it in kind of a barebones state with the removal of its most major system. It's also, to my knowledge, currently the least popular job in the game in terms of how many people actively play it, so that's incentive for them to give it some love. But I'm a Monk main so I might be biased.

  3. When the first thing you want from an Expansion is more glamour plates and slots, you know FF14 has you xP Speaking of glamour, love the Street Fighter shirt
As for Summoner, yeah, it's largely an issue of how pets and pet AI basically work in FF14 coding and network coding. Pet classes have undergone multiple reworks over the years and YoshiP has gone on record multiple times about just not liking how pets work in FF14 and why they keep tinkering with them, and this has led some people to misquote him as saying he just doesn't like pets/pet classes in MMOs and wants to get rid of them.
As for my personal wish for the job stuff? I'm one of the more nervous watchers as I main RDM. I love the way the job plays and feels right now so while there are a few small additions I'd like to see (better AoE being one of them) I'm also worried they'll add more to the job in a way that actually breaks it

  4. Healers were completely gutted with Shadowbringers, so I hope they revert some of those changes and give them a couple more buttons to deal damage with, and if they don't fix Pet AI a lot of Scholars (including myself) will likely be switching over to Sage on release. Dealing with that fairy is nothing but frustration.

  5. The other thing we’re getting next weekend is the media tour. SE invites big names in the community and lets them play a small build of the expansion. In the ShB media tour they had access to every job (including GNB and DNC) at level 80, they could explore Il Mheg, Lakeland and the Crystarium. They also had access to Dohn Mheg, the level 73 dungeon. Yoshi P gave each of them interviews as well. I imagine it’ll be almost the exact same thing this time except not in person.

  6. I'm hyped for the live letter! There was a Q&A that YoshiP confirmed that one job will be drastically different from what it is now, but he didn't say what job. I expect big changes to either summoner or astrologian, since Sage is coming out and it might change healer dynamics. I'm also hoping they show us a little bit of the island sanctuary thing!

  7. Yeah, I do hope they increase the item slots for all inventory, including character, retainers, saddlebag and glamour dresser. That glamour dresser should be at least 1000 items XD. Oh, and that armoire >__>;; Rarely useful but I hope they can make some equipment be possible to store in the armoire. I have been maining Summoner since 2.0 and it was really clunky and slow. I still love it and there were improvements this ShB in contrast to the long rotation to summon Bahamut during SB. For ShB, I'm maining Machinist and Monk but I did finish all other jobs to see which really sticks to me this expansion in terms of the gameplay. As for the Live Letter this coming Sept17/Sept18, I am really looking forward with the Job Actions! I fell in love with the SB and ShB Job action ever since I watched them so it is really hype for me.

  8. The thing I'd look for: In Shadowbringers, they totally gutted / redid all the Heavensward Jobs. I'd watch to see if they continue the trend and do reworks of the Stormblood jobs in Endwalker.

  9. In the Benchmark, the Summoner basically does the Ifrit-egi flamecharge himself. I wonder if it's going to be like Reaper, where it's more a 'stand' than a separate pet. Would be interesting to see if Titan-egi is useful again.

  10. -I like WHM honestly. I like the idea and the animations. An improvement could come from making hard bosses deal more unavoidable damage so there's more time spent healing and less time attacking.

-Just looking for glam plates to be applied outside of cities honestly. Or 15->20 glam plates. I'll take either.

  11. The playerbase has been whining about glam space for quite some time now, and if just adding more glam plates or glam dresser storage was the plan of action I think we would have gotten that already. It's pure speculation on my part, maybe it's just the case of it being very low priority, but I'm inclined to believe that we will get some kind of quality of life glam overhaul either with EW or the patch content that follows the expansion.

Glam in ffxiv is as of right now a system with a lot of weird features. You have to loadingscreen your way into an inn/your squadron base where they've hidden an inventory where you can put fashion pieces, and to create glam plates you have to go to said inventory. If you want to change the colors of them, you have to go buy dyes and bring those with you to the glam dresser. Etc. It's very limited and unnecessarily inconvenient for no justifiable reason, and in my opinion it would make more sense for them to change it completely than continue to build onto something that in all honesty just isn't that good.

  12. Pld for UWU, yikes.
My Pld refuses to play Pld for Ucob and UWU because of cast time for holy spirit. Not having gap closer sucks, but the casting is the worst part.
We use Gnb/War for those 2 fights. 🙂
    Friday is Live letter!!
Already announced that it will be close to 4 hrs. Crazy long.

  13. The signal to get onboard the hype train? That train has long left the station, but by all means if you didnt get on before it is making stops on its way for you to get on! 🙂
And YES! I really hope they add more plates. I play almost all of them, and I want a plate for each job to make them unique, but there's more jobs in the game than there is plates.
