Eji Reacts to FFXIV: Endwalker Part 24 – The Endsinger || Blind Playthrough

(Just a heads-up: this finale will be in two parts because it’s just a little too long, part 25 will have the second half of this finale and my end-credit thoughts!)

The Warrior of Light and the Scions have finally reached Meteion’s nest, housing the countless souls that have been collected from other worlds. The Scions must deal with reliving those souls’ final days on their worlds, before confronting the final obstacle in their path: the Endsinger.
Their mission? To silence the Endsinger’s song of oblivion!

  1. i think i said Evangelion too -^_^- i like how Zenos belives in us more than anyone else. Everyone else is crying with worry about us thinking we sacrificed ourselves to save them, and Zenos is like 'what?! you havent beaten the boss yet? let's get this out of the way so we can get to the real fight'

  2. It is interesting that Meteion not only found stars in despair, but also seems to have spread it, especially if the last part of the last duty is to be believed. They did not seem to think that they lacked purpose until she inquired about it.

I do hope the little blue bird can be saved so that she can experience the joys of living as well. 'tis the only problem with despair based villains; you prove them wrong and they perish, rarely do they feel the joys of life for themselves. As if despair is something that can only be purged or destroyed, that it is not possible to save them…

Also, cute bird girls should not be sent into space alone with no guiding parental figure is so far noted 😅

  3. That's the problem with trusts when doing big pulls, once you engage a group they will focus on a target and if you don't keep an eye on the aggro of it then it can easily get pulled off you by the time you get to the next group (or before depending how big the distance between is) and so they sit there beating it up, had it happen a few times when I went through as a tank.

  4. The Dead Ends is by far my favourite Dungeon of the entire game.
The first world tells us about a seafolk who expanded their dominion to the lands above, but in so doing, contaminated their homeland. The pestilence is oil. Oil is leaking from the sea floor, since they needed fuel to travel on land. It became uncontrollable, and it contaminated their food and bodies and aether. And soon came the transformations.
The second world is the closest to ours. The Global Alliance achieved peace, but the Freedom Fighters, worrying more about their individual freedoms than the collective good, started a war and this conflict drove the Global Alliance blind due their own power in a hypocritical way. They who healed all wounds opening new ones. All because of egoistic individualism.
The third world, The Plenty, is the most mystical one. The last stage, where we face Ra-La, is named The World Tree in reference to the Yggdrasil on Norse mythology. It's more of a "biblical" metaphor for our lives' strives and woes, that they bring flavour to our happiness.

  5. Oh, were you so caught up in the narrative that you'd forgotten that every expansion has had an 8-man trial immediately after the final dungeon?

And I see I wasn't the only one who initially thought that the Summoner's Primal animations were part of the duty (like they were Primals from the ship/Mothercrystal remnants inside of Shinryu Zenos aiding us), that nice know I wasn't alone in that.

I also remember being so caught up in Tanking (though my party didn't communicate that there was a required Tank LB3 mechanic, so we had to do the first part over) that I didn't notice that there was a literal wave of hope-infused dynamis pushing back against The Endsinger's despair-infused dynamis during the final phase. I only noticed it during my first watchings of replays of the trial.

The Endsinger's flailings during the final phase reminded me of how Thordan starts flailing his sword around in panic after surviving his ultimate attack in Heavensward.

  6. I love that just like with Thordan, The Endsinger just flails & does the same moves over & over again cause she literally loss the will to fight after the WoL survived both her ultimate attacks. Now the music that plays is your 'boss theme' in the fight.
