Eden 8 Savage was… an experience | FFXIV

Finally tackled E8S raid! aka Edenโ€™s verse refulgence (Savage) and went up against Shiva again. It took us 5 attempts (5 streams lul) to take her down, but I had a lot of fun!! I stream more savage content at https://www.twitch.tv/mirubunsโ€‹โ€‹ ^_^

  1. I got yelled at a lot doing all my dungeons, I learned hard how to be a goddamn tank. Darn it

Now there's this raid that adds more load to my worries, if I am a good enough tank.

  2. I think it's super awesome that you have people willing to take you through savage and teach you the fundamentals in a patient manner. Most people who try raiding never really get all the way through the tier because of how nuanced the learning process is. Even for the people that do clear, it's still a niche audience at the end of the day and it's such a barrier to doing that content living and dying and trial and error. So the fact that you're overcoming a lot of those hurdles with your friends and community brings a smile to my face that you don't have to suffer through those nuances alone!!

    P.S.,
Let's be honest, light's rampant is still cancer and I respect the hell out of you for putting up with it!!

  3. You were able to learn light rampant? Nice, regardless of gear level, that's a good accomplishment! It's arguably the most difficult single mechanic in the entire expansion IMO the only one that can compare is NISI in alexander ultimate. If you can do e8s, you can do any fight in the game imo.

  4. lmao! this fight was the bane of my existence. Learned early on that savage boss fights are more like an intricate dance in which have to take into consideration: timing, cooldown management, up-time competency, rotational adjustments, positioning… etc, so you can really face roll like in WoW

  5. Raiding splits the casuals from the hardcore gamer. Itโ€™s a group effort, but it will reward you with some good friends to play with. Good luck lol itโ€™s not easy.
