  1. What I don't get is why there aren't some sane default hotbar layouts for the different jobs: e.g., putting a job's most frequently-used/core rotation abilities on cross hotbar one, grouping up abilities that combo together, etc.

  2. Putting combos together on one button would be so painfully boring in scaled content that it might actually kill game for some people. They are fine as is. The controller could use some quality of life updates but this is not one of them

Nothing personal against rurikhan, but I think there are more "true" ff14 content creators, instead of someone who appears to just jump in during hype to get those views for the content creation. And I get it, is what he does. Sorry for this take cause I know its like disrespectful. But i would've love to see here someone like weskalbert. Especially hearing ruris takes and mostly disagreeing with his opinions lol.

  4. Did y'all hear that Hironobu Sakaguchi, the PAPI of Final Fantasy, has begun to play the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV? It's the same game with an expanded free trial in which, if I may add, others have played through the entirety of their Realm Reborn and award winning Heavensward expansions up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on their playtime!

  5. Easy, Sony and square team up and develope a game specific controller. The one that comes with the console is adequate and does everything the game requires but the game and specific controllers brings a new level of ease and smoothness like a new button in the middle of your ⬛, 🔴, ▶️ and X button, along with two new buttons on each handle where your ring and middle fingers sit…..but alas this is just wishful thinking.

  6. I would like a stacking button function, at least for combo actions, specially for controller. I can't for the life of me play as well on controller as I do with k/m, as instead of going "ah, situation A, time to click button X to use skill B", I have to figure out wich combination of buttons I need to press to, and my brain farts often

  7. When the Gunbreaker change was announced, I was excited as a controller player.

    However, one of our FC high end raiders wasn't as excited. I didn't fully understand but he mentioned something about ping I believe ( there were a lot of ppl and it went by fast, so I could have misunderstood, but it came from a high end raiding view of the change ).

  9. button bloat is actually my biggest issue right now on m/kb. i don't have enough comfortable hotkeys. all these methods are already in game but not consistently applied. for example:
    – dream within a dream -> assassinate, ley lines -> between the lines, etc. could easily be one button.
    – monk's stances for more jobs could help with combo retention, and reduce buttons for pld phys and war combos to three.
    – trait chains could reduce redundant skills like venomous bite -> windbite -> iron jaws. it woud also improve downscaling QoL for some jobs.
    you could probably go through each job with that in mind and save a few buttons almost everywhere.

    i'd personally be against one button combos. the gunbreaker change seems prone to accidental misplays like with mudras.
    i'd have removed continuation as a button instead. atm it's 4 7 5 7 6 7. it will be 4 7 4 7 4 7. i'd have preferred 4 4 5 5 6 6.
    that would make it more comfortable when fated circle inevitably gets continuation as well.
