  1. I have been playing Diablo since I was 10
While other kids my age were making memories with Halo, or spouting racial slurs with CoD, I was killing the Lord of Terror for the umpteenth time
It was a key part of, not only my childhood, but also helped shape me as a gamer
I didn’t have “one more game”
    I hade “one more waypoint”
This is to say, I can comfortably call myself a Diablo veteran

I’ve also put about 1500 hours into FFXIV and have all the combat jobs to 90 (minus blue mage)

Barbarian and sorcerer in D4 are like Warrior and Black Mage in FFXIV respectively

As someone who’s favorite tank in FFXIV is Warrior and favorite class in DND is Barbarian, the D4 Barbarian is the culmination of everything I love about the concept
    They are the unga bunga
A hit that would one shot any other class, they shrug off and go “is that all you got? spits out a tooth HA! 🎵My turn!🎵*rages*”
They are the “I’m not trapped in the room with 1000 demons. 1000 demons are trapped in a room with ME!”
But their damage can be…a little lacking

    Sorcerers are the exact opposite
They are the INFINITE UNIVERSAL POWER, but you sneeze on me and I die
    They are the glass cannon
They are the meme wizard of DND

Rouge has 2 major routes you can go:
Speedy ninja who zips across the battlefield or ranged assassin who uses a bow to deal big damage from a safe distance
As you said, there are a few ways you can build even within these
Hell, one of your primary skills you can pick as a rouge is literally just Vax’s tried and true staple:
    Dagger, dagger, dagger
I’m looking forward to using that to make an archer style build

I’d have to play Necromancer and Druid to say for certain wha they’ll be like here…but let’s be real, Diablo 2 necromancer is the general formula all other necromancers are compared to
If you’ve played Necro in D2 or D3, you know what you’re in for for the most part

For Druid…if you go in expecting it to be like World of Warcraft’s druids, you’re gonna be disappointed
For melee in D2, werewolf druid was my favorite (I wonder if that had any influence on me being a furry today?)
D2 Druids were always more like Wow’s Shaman than anything with shapeshifting mixed in
I’m disappointed at the lack of a dedicated werewolf build for Druid in D4, but I could easily get over it and work around it and probably enjoy it regardless
But it seems like this time around they’re putting more emphasis on either the casting or the companion summoning side of things

The fact that you enjoyed Barbarian as much as you did warms my heart greatly, ngl
If we ever cross paths in D4, allow me to give you a traditional unga bunga greeting:
    A fist to the chest

Personally, I’m happy with what I’ve seen if d4 so far, and am very much looking forward to the full release

  2. Nice! I am with you, Necromancer and Druid seem right up my alley. I pretty much play these two types in some way or another in every game it seems, but there is something to be said for face tanking stuff. I don't mind big dmg specs as long as they have some kind of support role, but mage/sorcerer never quite does it for me. Bow Rogue looks fun though!
