  1. So, it’s never really explained in the MSQ but the main beast tribes of ARR each have their own huge territorial lands
The Ixal have Xelphatol in Coerthas, it extends far more than what we traverse in the 3.4 dungeon rendition
The Kobolds have the mountain of O’Ghomoro which is basically a supermassive ant colony spread throughout the mountain into La Noscea as we know it
And here in 5.5 we have Paglth’an, the Amalj’aa land, stretching far far out from Southern Thanalan as we see in the dungeon rendition, which honestly makes it even more terrifying that the towers just “appeared” given their size and presence
Makes you wonder what it actually looked like for them to see it emerge and then get attacked/kidnapped by the Telophoroi

  2. The thing with Arenvald and Fordola is explained in the level 80 SMN job quest. Basically during your adventures in the First Shard, Arenvald and Fordola enlisted to help rookie summoners fight off primals in your absence since they are immune to tempering. It a piece of worldbuilding that shows that the world of Eorzea doesn't just stop because you aren't there which I absolutely love.

  3. Kinda crazy that Fordola has to wear what is essentially a bomb collar as a conscript since ya know crimes and all. Ya think the alliance would wanna put one on Gaius, then again he ain’t in eorzea anymore.

  4. Somehow, two days before the 5.5 patch was live, I told my friend "how cool would it be if in Endwalker we'd free Tiamat to fight Lunar Bahamut???" Well, little did I know XD Enjoyed your playthrough, as always!!

  5. There is a hilarious short story on the lodestone called "Echoes of Delusion" that explains Estinien's fondness for sun-dried squid, also detailing how Krile and Tataru chased him down across the world (to Estinien's horror) while the WoL was in the First.
