I’m not an MMO person, normally, but maybe I can make a difference for the award winning game Final Fantasy XIV, with its free trial including gameplay up to lvl 60 and all the other stuff.

One minute in and I already love this episode.
You can actually get the squat and few other workout emotes in the game! If you want Bricc to do squats for the start or the end of the videos perhaps?
I think I laughed myself to tears over your Jandelaine, thank you. He is Ishgardian, so that would make him fantasy French I believe?
The challenge log is nice – especially for the Gold Saucer and the Eureka, but the latter is waaaaay off in the future.
The fashion report is the easiest way to earn a lot of MGP every week, but in all honesty it's more Clown School than Fashion.
Godbert Manderville is a quite the Character. There should be a statue somewhere on the upper floor featuring him in his (un)usual attire and he sometimes shows up in the comedy sidequest line featuring his son. Hildibran is also a… unique kind of Gentleman.
Not sure if you found it yet, but there is a quest in Vesper Bay, Western Thanalan that unlocks glamours so you can change the look of your gear.
Really glad to see more! Hope you're still enjoying your time with the game! ^^
I've kinda wanted to mention this before, but about names and things! So, the Roegadyn names that look more difficult to pronounce use words from the ancient Roegadyn language, but most in the end are pronounced kinda as you'd expected, the only somewhat deceptive one is 'oe' is pronounced 'ooh' so for example the 'Bloef' in Merlwyb's surname is pronounced 'Bloof'. The Roegadyn names that are just two words are names of the exact same style, but have just been translated into modern language. The former is more common of the Sea Wolves clan and the latter more common of the Hellsguard clan.
The Miqo'te with the apostrophes in their name are specifically of the 'Seekers of the Sun' clan and the letter before the apostrophe denotes what tribe they're in. So, the Miqo'te girl you mention from the quest at the start of this episode, V'mellpa is basically 'Mellpa of the V (Vulture) tribe', but generally only people very close to them will drop the letter and refer to them just as their name. Miqo'te without a letter like that in front of their name are of the 'Keepers of the Moon' clan. Male Keepers will still have an apostrophe in their name, but it'll come at the end of their first name and denotes what number son they are, female Keepers don't have apostrophes in their names.
The Seekers of the Sun are a fairly patriarchal culture, whereas Keepers of the Moon are very matriarchal.
There's stuff like this for all the races, but these are the two odd ones you've seen most often so far, I believe so I thought I'd just mention them ^^
If you're a female character, the Gold Saucer guy just asks if he's mentioned the prizes, as opposed to the female attendants. Also instead of offering the ticket as a "gift from one eligible young man about town to another" he asks you "Consider it a gift from me to you, milady!"
The 'giant glowing lightsaber' weapon you saw is obtained from content called 'Palace of the Dead' which is unlockable in Gridania after having completed the first few dungeons. It's kind of like a roguelike dungeon crawler, if I had to describe it quickly? It's very useful for levelling alternate classes and you also level independently (and extremely quickly) inside allowing you to experience your classes at much higher level (up to 60) to get a taste for how they'll play with more abilities later in the game. It's possible to obtain a weapon for each class from there, all of which are featureless uniformly glowing weapons.
MGP is, I believe, actually in the game to circumvent gambling laws in video games? There's no way to buy it with real money, and not only is it horrendously inefficient to convert gil to MGP it doesn't let you once you have.. I think it's 500MGP? Which is nothing. Really, you're encouraged to just play the minigames and GATEs around the Gold Saucer as well as completing weekly Challenge Logs and doing daily/weekly cactpots. There's also very little if any actual gambling in the Gold Saucer, I think pretty much everything is now designed in such a way that it's guaranteed to give out more MGP than you put in even if you do poorly. MGP is exchangeable for various cosmetic items, mounts, glamour pieces, triple triad cards, etc… By my understanding, they want the prizes from the Gold Saucer to be earned by engaging specifically with Gold Saucer content and not just bought through earning gil in other content, so they're not really obfuscating much at all. For all intents and purposes it's an entirely separate currency.
As for content from previous FF games… There definitely is a ton of it. I've said once before in a comment on a much earlier video that FFXIV is a love letter to all the previous Final Fantasy games and I stand by that. There's definitely some element of appealing to nostalgia to it all, of course there is, but the lore team and devs work hard to incorporate as many of these things as possible in ways that feel very much in keeping with FFXIV's own internal lore and logic. A lot of it feels like a labour of love from people who have just as much nostalgia for these references as the players will. That's my take, at least.
If you love alliteration, keep an eye out for Lalafellian speech, some of them seem to talk in nothing but alliteration! Also, never feel like you have to stop the fashion show. Glamour is the true endgame after all =P
Sorry for the really long post again ='D I hope any of this is interesting to you or useful in any way, or mostly just not annoying I guess ='D Also, if any of my posts or comments feel like they're defending the game a bit too much from critique, that's not my intention. The game has a myriad of flaws, but my comments are more for where I feel there are justifiable reasons for the decisions made that as a new player you're naturally less familiar with the context for. Certain things you might criticise I will be right there alongside you ^^;
Either way, very much looking forward to seeing more!
The glowy 'lightsaber' weapons can be obtained by running Palace of the Dead… a lot.
From my own experience Player appreciate Feedback to there Glamour (Outfit). I do for sure.
Also when you get to a Area called Vesperbay there are two Blue Unlock Quest. One is to posibility to Dye your Gear if you have the colors the other Unlock Glamouring aka Transmog. Its not that expensive and quite Enjoyable.
I would tell ya even more but Arycat did a good info time already
